Which dates mean parole & release dates on the DOC website?
Hey ladies
Just looking up some things and wonder how you know when he's up for parole and release...I've had a look but can't work it out...under what title does this info come under? I can see a date which is around the time he said he was gonna find out when he's going to be released..is this when he's up for parole?
Also how long after there parole date are they usually released or is every case different.
Any info much appreciated
Thank you
Is it TPM?..if it is then that should be the month he will be released on parole.(Tentative parole month)
..Could be from the first until the 31st..just anytime that month!
I'm not sure about other states but on the DOC site in Michigan it says "earliest release date" (ERD) or "projected release date" (PRD) - that's when he will be first eligible for parole. It's not a promise he will be released, it's only the timeframe of eligibility, when he will face the parole board.
Many get a flop the first time around, especially if his crime was classified as a violent one. My husband got a one year flop his first time (I think one year is the standard in MI) but in other states the flops may be from 2 - 5 years. Because of the economy though, I think there's a bigger chance of them being released on their first try if their crime was a non-violent one.
No idea all he's told me is the earliest he could be out which is a couple of mths he says they'll have it all sorted out by August
We can only communicate by letters that seem to take forever to back and forth all he keeps saying is he'll know by August when he's going to be released hope that helps
Your question should be asked in the state forum in which he is in. Posting here in General Prison Talk can only get you General answers without knowing which states laws apply.
