Default Unit ended call?

So I was talking to my husband today and after 4 minutes it said we had 1 minute left and hung us up. He said he would call right back but never did. I called Securrus and they said there is no issues with my account, its all clear and the operator said it was the unit (C.Moore) itself that ended the call. Has this ever happened to anyone and why does it happen?

It is entirely possible that they racked for count...some facilities cut the phones instead of relying on the offender to do the right thing and terminate the call.

I've had that happen several times....if we are talking and hit count time, we get the 1-minute warning. Also happened once when they were suddenly put on lockdown for some reason.

That happened to us on Wednesday night.. but it was only 8:30 pm. Not count time nor on lockdown. Phones were clear with Securus too. As soon as he called it said we only had 1 minute. I thought it was weird.

That's interesting. At R's unit they don't make them hang up during count. He just does it while he is on the phone and goes back to the conversation. Nice because they are always counting when he is on the phone!

We have only had it happen when they suddenly went on Lockdown. They have not done for count, but it is TDCJ and anything is possible. You can call the unit and ask if they are on lcokdown.

This happened to me today for the first time. We only talked for 5 mins. What's weird is yesterday I got part of a message from Securus about disconnect. My bill isn't even due for another 10 days. My ex was supposed to call right back, but never did. I tried to register online to see if I could find something out, but that won't even work.
