I was sentenced to 10 years in prison in November of 2004, in Oklahoma. I spent 5 months in the county jail waiting to go to prison, a year at EWCC, 22 months at HCCC, and 10 months on an ankle monitor.

I was convicted of Trafficking a Controlled Substance 1st Degree, 1st Offense in 2004. I took a plea deal of 7 years for 5 years probation. I violated probation in 2007 and started my time in the Rockcastle County Detention Center. I was transferred from there to the Roederer Correctional Complex to be classified. From there I was sent to Luther Luckett Correctional Complex where I made parole and went home in 2009. I completed my parole in December of 2011.

Default TDCJ Inmate

Did time in various units. Went thru processing at Garza West on 01/05/2001, arrived on Domingues Unit on 01/28/2001 stayed until 10/15/2001, was transferred to Lockhart facility until 11/16/2001, spent Thanksgiving at The Walls in Huntsville-best food. Spent 6 months at the DWI rehab facility at Henderson TX run by MTC-worst unit from 11/28/2006-06/08/2012. Did another 6months awaiting parole response at Hamilton Unit from 06/08/12-12/03/12. Finally paroled and is hard as hell to find a job in the RGV area. Any questions email me at(**email deleted per PTO policies**)

i was at the federal gated community of MCC, GEO (aka: Wackenhut / SD correction facility), and CCA. i was captured in Nov 2005, released out on bail Jan 2006, i was on the DL for the first few months then slowly slipped back into the streets and was outta control in no time. My bail was then revoked June 2006 and i was stuck in the belly of the beast with no way out. i was devastated, i was 2 months from finishing college and i thought my life was over. 5 months into my vacation i meet my husband whom had been down for 9 yrs and had 16 more to go. He was and is the most amazing man i had ever meet. He grabbed my hand picked me up and dusted me off, he became my best friend, my lover, confidant, and cheerleader. He walked me though the worse time of my life. while in captivity i came up with a plan upon my release. i was released in April 2007. i used that day as, the first day of the rest of my life. not only did execute my plan but i had went above and beyond my own expectations. I have been truly blessed and graced by the hand of god. My husband and i will b celebrating 3 yrs of marriage in a couple of weeks.

Red face New to this forum...

I've used this in the past to get information, but I've not talked about my own experiences. I was incarcerated from January 1995 (or was it 1994? I can't remember for sure....) to October of that same year. I was an inmate at Chowchilla (Valley State wasn't open yet, it was CCWF) That was in California and while it was a horrible few months, it was a learning experience. I was incarcerated for lying on credit card applications... I worked in the front area where new prisoners arrive and leave and my nickname was "Junior".

I've made a lot of mistakes in my life...and while I have never been back to ANY prison, I have violated the law again (hot checks). I now live in Arkansas and try my best to do what I can.

For so many years I've tried to forget this period of my life; and the stupidest things give me a flashback. For instance, going through Walmart a few weeks ago, I saw "canned roast beef" and just had a flashback because that was one of the things I ordered on Commissary.

I don't know what I am hoping by posting....but I guess I wanted to talk to others who have been where I am.

Post Former inmate

Hello fellow X-cons,

I served 6 months in 2011 for a first time probation violation - I was violated in a county in Indiana renowned for its tough-on-crime- approach. I was also lucky enough to get the harshest of 6 judges, who opted to throw the book at me - she maxed me out.

While incarcerated, I had the pleasure of experiencing the hole. My time, though relatively short compared with many others, was miserable but some good did come of it. Since my release, I have become very involved in criminal justice reform and advocating for prisoners' rights. I'm especially passionate about advocating against the abusive use of solitary confinement!

Glad to be hear and hope to meet many of you ex-offenders!

Lisa

So this is were everybody is at. I'm glad I found you all.
I did a little over 12yrs most of it at sff Hazleton and then lastly to Danbury before I went to cornell hwh in Texas. I was sentenced to 360 months under R.I.C.O but won a appeal that provided me a reduction to half. I came home to new world and living in a new State. I have one child a daughter that means the world to me. Her Dad, my man, my rappy is also incarcerated and he too received the same blessing of reduction and will be home later this year. Anyone having loved ones in any of the prisons that I was in and is need of info about those prisons or cornell hwh let me know and I'll try to answer as much as I can.

Default Hello fellow 'offenders'

My name is Scott, I am a 26 year old male ex-inmate, who was let out on parole last fall after serving just over 4 years on a serious but non-violent drug charge in NY state. Yes I was guilty. It was my first time in prison. I am having a very difficult time readjusting because according to a social worker I have become institutionalized. I see his point.

Trying to keep my chin up, make a life for myself so I don't have to go back to the joint over and over again. It may come to that though. In kind of a bad spot honestly, I just joined PrisonTalk to meet like minded people who know how im feeling. Please personal message me if you like, I would be happy to hear from you.

In January 2012 I plead no contest to attempted malicious wounding stemming from a charge in July 2011, and was sentenced to 5 years with all but 12 months suspended, which I spent in the Western Virginia Regional Jail. Another 4 years of probation over my head.

Exclamation did my time but in texas a felon its a lifetime sentence

falsely accused

after doing half of 10 yr probation i served from 199 to 2002 in the tdcj system.I gt fed up on the fees and trying to defend my innocence.i pleaded no contest in hopes of future. been out since 2002 working on a degree in psychology online. been out of real work for nearly 3 years after moving back home to help with disabled parents. odd jobs pay bills. volunteering with Bill glass and seeking help in some paper work requested via letter from the tdcj rehab/volunteer services.i submitted online the form for being a approved volunteer. I think i made the mistake and why they are asking this. my original sentence was so many days in county then a 10n yr sentence to include the monitor and so classes. after about halfway i got an attitude did not break a law but had my probation turned into doing time served. i said to judge im sick of this mess and let me finish my time. i said i on app i was on probation and did my time . the letter is asking me to send documents of my expired probation/parole to the tdcj rehab program division. a couple months ago someoe called from their office telling me due to nature of offense it will take longer than normal to get the decisions. i have no cle what documents they are asking for being i did time served.i am also a registered so and they know that and they can see my info as such; time served. who do i call? cant reach anyone from listed number and this requested info must be in their file by 08/09/2013 or my request for volunteer will be denied. i want to make a difference and have an amazing testimony showing how God has worked in my life....
