Default Meet Sosa, our dog!

About a month ago I saved a 'boxer mix' from a bad situation. She was tied to a tree and ignored... half starved. Well, she is making progress by leaps and bounds!!! She is getting less and less scared and timid.. and we went to a Vet appt last week and she got a clean bill of health and started on her heart worm prevention

Awww shes beautiful it seems that these animals in bad situations find us, instead of us finding them.. Our pitbull was brought into our shop in a grocery cart with his brother and sister. They all had parvo and worms and hes the only one who survived. I had no intentions of getting a dog until he found me that day. Thank you for saving her life

I rescued a dog off of a front porch that he was tied to for the first four years of his life. I've never smelled anything so bad--but if you slept in middle of your own feces you'd smell bad too.

He's a wonderful and loving dog and we've had the last 10 years together and hopefully there will be many more. There were a lot of challenges and it is inevitable that there is emotional damage from their difficult beginnings.

I've found a lot of solutions to a lot of problems over the years and would be happy to help you if you need help with your new family member. If you are interested in any of my experiences, feel free to pm me. I always like to offer our experiences because I want all of these rescue stories to be successful in the long run.

Aww, she is so cutee! That is awesome you saved her. I hate seeing animals treated that way
Our neighbor is so mean to their dog to the point I've contemplated calling animal control. Breaks me heart, I love animals!

Im so glad that you ladies kept these dogs. It sickens me to think anyone could hurt a animal that just wants love. I wish I could help every dog that is abused or neglected

Thank you all for your comments
In a month, I've only had one 'bad' experience with her. I work 12 shifts, 3rd shift. Well, she would actually stay in the house while I was at work... She'd have a blast while I was gone... rugs thrown in the corner of the room, comforters off the bed, etc... but she never chewed anything up, or believe it or not, never used the bathroom in the house.
I came home one morning about a week ago and found her running around outside. What the???? I walk in the trailor and she has literally Ate a Hole through the trailor wall, beside the front door and got out! I was irate... but 2 days later the hubby & I went and bought a tie-out, a dog house and the stuff to patch the hole. She hates being tied to the tie-out, but there's no way I'm leaving her in the house alone again

From experience and research. . . the throwing the stuff like rugs and comforters is very likely a sign of anxiety. There are a couple of harmless products that you can try (my motto is always "first do no harm" when trying things) that may alleviate the dog's anxiety. I don't like posting products because it looks like I'm some sneaky pitchman, but feel free to pm me if you would like any recommendations.

Sosa is too cute and I am happy to hear that you saved her from a bad situation and that she can live the rest of her life happy and in a healthy environment.
