Hisbabygirl, as long as your picture book, contains no metal you should be okay Chica.

I'm interested in sending my cousin a book. I know that books must be ordered either from Amazon or Barnes and Noble; however, I'm uncertain about what the size restrictions are for books. Can anyone please tell me the dimensions that are acceptable? Thank you.

Thanks xoxo

There are no restrictions in size. It must be paperback, if it's not they will tear/remove the hardcover and hand it to him without it. The book, must be sent directly from an authorized vendor. I hope this helps you.

There is a set time frame, but not followed. The title 15, says as soon as possible, but no later than 7 calendar days from receipt of the mail at the facility room. It's a hit or miss. When I send my baby (on B), mail he has rec'd it as short as 6 days and as long as 13 . I cant speak for "D" as I think they are the same with the exception of Ad-Seg/ASU, these units are monitored a little closer...I hope this answers your question.

My baby received a letter I wrote him, 40 days after I mailed it. He usually receives it within 10, but lately it has been a little longer.

My guy has not received any of his mail not one freakin' bit and it frustrates me even more when I sent him a writing package with 300 line pages,40 envelopes, one book of stamps and somehow it never reached his destination. I have no idea what is up with that. At this point he said he might as well purchase them from store if this will happened. Does it matter if I bother getting in touch with Mailroom? My stationary packages go in the Flat Rate Envelopes so free tracking and it seemed like it reached it's destination just not him.

It does take over a minute before they get the stationary package. Not sure why the delay. I sent my love 2, one during his orientation and one after. He eventually got both .

I have considered calling the mail room. He still has not received 2 letters from march !!

Does anyone know why they are delaying mail? I write every day and he has not received anything. It's getting very frustrating. 😏

We haven't been getting mail as quickly as we were either. He just received 3 letters from me postmarked on 4-16, 4-17, 4-18. I just received 3 from him that he wrote all on 4-27. I was receiving his within 3 days.

All I can say Chica, is to remail it out again. You said you spoke to the mailroom Sup. and she said nothing is there well that really sucks . Especially that you mailed out important documents. When and if you do remail it out, highlight the outside of your envelope with Attn: FV Coordinator(at the bottom left corner). Good luck and I hope they get your packet soon.

According to the DOM and Title 15 it is not allowed.

Someone I know has sent her hubby stationary and coloring paper, 10 sheets at a time. She has mailed it in a metal clasp free envelope. Sometimes it goes through, and sometimes it gets sent back. So when a staff member chooses, they can reject it.

He is allowed 40 plain envelopes or 40 embossed per mailing. He can get 40 stamps, and you can mail him a writing tablet in white or yellow lined only. You can also send him 50 sheets of lined paper. He can get 10 pictures per mailing, no glitter, stickers, no lipstick kisses on envelopes, or musical cards.
