I check it often myself, and I just wondered if others did the same. That's why I started the poll. Also, I thought it might be a good way to get new posters involved.

I was wondering is someone can tell me why FOIL has no information for my sentence. I mean my name, BOPP# and where I report fro probabtion is there but no other information is listed, it makes me paranoid like I know the date I am supposed to come off probabtion but when something isn't listed then it makes me think that they will extend me or something, any ideas

Sometimes it takes awhile for them to update the information. If you're really concerned, try calling Central Records.

I check the begining of the month, on the 5th and then occasionally through the month just in case... especially when I was waiting to learn the result of her parole hearing.

For the record, tdoc has guidelines for updating foil, as per their own documentation, good days must be applied on or before the 5th business day of the month.

If the inmate is up for release the following month, tdoc will apply IN ADVANCE good days awarded for the month on the 20th day of the month. If the 20th falls on the weekend it will be the next working day.

Does that make sense? Again it came from TDOC Documentation.

As always this is my interpatation of this document but it was pretty clear of how it works.

It hurts to check it...I cry when I do because it says my baby's not eligible for parole until may 09 and he was only supposed to be serving 1 yr in the county. They messed his paperwork up and now he's serving more time.

I am new to all this. Could someone please explain. If your loved one earns credits for good time, for vocational and whatever else they earn credits for how is that applied to their time served. Does it come off their sentence end date or does it come off their parole eligibility date? I am confused. My son's foil says he is eligibile for parole 8/9/2010 and his sentence ends 8/9/2017. He is minimum security staff. I have also heard if you are minimum security you also get an extra 4 days a month. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hey!!! OMG! OK, So I check the FOIL website everyday just about ( yes im addicted)......... and ORGINALLY it said.......
Sentence End Date 1/10/2010
The Parole Eligibility spot was blank and so was the Parole Hearing Spot.....

BUT TODAY.........................
Sentence End Date 9/13/2010 ( 8 months longer )
BUT----- Now inside the Parole Eligibility Date it says 4/4/2008

SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I dont know what to think. It is bad that the SENTENCE end date got pushed back 8 months..... BUT before there was no parole eligibilty date and now there is......... So that part of it seems good. I dont know what to think?!?!

Can someone help me...
--oh yeah and his original sentence was a 3 yr drug charge at 30%

Any insight or help understand this would be appreciated!!!

I hope all goes well for you. My husbands revocation hearing is 6/26/2008 and we are hoping for violators camp or,at worst, 12 months.
I will include you in my prayers as well.

Unfortunately, or maybe fortunately, his parole was revoked.
Downside - won't be able to see him until he is out.
Upside - no more parole bullsh!t, live where we want, travel when we want and this actually saved our marriage.

So now it's a countdown. And I am strong enough for it.

They revoked his parole for a bullsh!t charge (misdemeanor) and dirty urine test. All technical violations, but the parole board is pretty much denying everyone these days.
