OTIS: Profile is gone. 0 records match. Does that mean he's been arrested?
Hey guys
I have a question... a family member was paroled in May of 2016... discharged this past May. He won’t be removed from OTIS until 2019. Anyway, we haven’t heard from him. Wondering of course if he’s been arrested for doing something dumb. When I look him up, his whole profile is gone. It says 0 records matched. Anyone know what that means? Could that mean that he’s been arrested?

I would try looking up the county jail or surrounding counties of where you believe he is located and put his name in there and it should tell you if he's being held.
Have you ever checked OTIS before and know for a fact he was on it? I did a search and there are situations in which they are not listed on the public website. Without knowing the situation I cannot tell you if your LO qualified.

Oh for sure... he’s been on it, listed first as a parolee for the past couple years then discharged. I’m just wondering if it’s saying 0 records matched because he’s being held somewhere... almost like someone has his file.

Nope! Typically if it says no records its because he isn't in the system at all. That could mean he has been discharged for completing his requirements but I have also seen this after someone has passed away. I hope it isn't the latter.
