Default CSATF PHONE Questions/Concerns & Info

Hey everyone!
My honey is in Corcoran SATF and i live in fresno. Now someone told him that the cost of the 15 mintue call is $2.25 or so, does anyone know if that's right. I've been tripping since 8pm today because he said "Baby the phone bill is going to come out to a thousand dollars!" I laughed but then said damn it might. So can anyone help me out since At&t won't be back up and running until 8 in the morning and i'll still be stressing then. Please help guys! Oh, and we have the same area code does that made a difference? ......

Hey Mrs Perry-My man was in Corcoran (left Aug 8th). I live in Visalia. The calls were $3.25 for 15 minutes. At least it was. I went through Global Tech (I think that is what it was) Don't stress about the $1,000.00 bill, the company starts you off with a limit of 100.00. If you pay on time they increase it. I always kept myself with a credit balance so I would never be surprised at the end of the month. Good luck, enjoy your calls.

Don't worry too much! I pay $3.50 a call and i live 220 miles away and yes GTL puts a block of $100.00. So u cant go over it! My man and I freaked out over the first bill too until it came. We talk all the time cause we both think whats $3.50. But let me tell u it can add up. i pay around 300.00 to 400.00 a month in phone calls! We both need to learn wilpower!! LOL yeah right! Take care and enjoy ur calls! I know we do!

Hi Mrs. Perry,
I live in pa but i have a monthly cell phone and i got a cell number around his prison so that the calls would cost him cheaper so he doesn't call the house. Global tel-a-link is a provider for prison calls and they are ok to deal with i just like to send him money and let him call the cell phone with his area code not mines. Try it hopefully that will be less costly then the $1,000 phone bill. =]

I don't think it would be more than $3.50 a call, all I can tell you for sure is that with a phone number about 15 miles from SATF the calls are $2.45 each

Default D Yard Phone Calls?

Has anyone been getting calls from D yard? I haven't heard from him this week which is unusual.

Thanks.

I was wondering the same thing Luvandlaughs....betcha they are back on LD. I tried to call today but it was too late and they booted me to that bottomless pit of a menu system until it cut me off. This is our second year plus here and there have been alot more LDs this winter than ever before. What's the deal I wonder? We are outta there in early Feb. and I cannot wait to exit this way less than perfect system...whata mess! Will post if I find anything out tomorrow.

I called earlier before I posted and it said regular program. I also called records to make sure he was in the same housing.

If you get any information please let me know and I will do the same.

On a side note I haven't gotten any mail this week either.

Congrats on being out there in Feb we just got there in Oct and went into lockdown hell.

I have learned the phone times for each day and I knew today was morning phone calls so at 9:30 I was staring at my phone. lol

He did tell me they have been having yard but not running dayroom that's why he hasn't called. He also mentioned that they weren't having yard this morning something about short staffed?

I guess they have been locking them down in the mornings because of short staff and fog.

When he called on Thursday morning he said they are short staffed and they are either running day room or yard. He didn't call the kids yesterday afternoon so I'm guessing they were running yard? Or maybe he just didn't make it to the phone in time.

My husband called Sunday morning and spoke with my daughter while I was at church. He told her that he did think he'd be able to call back this week. I assume that has to do with a lockdown or something, but I wasn't able to question him myself. My phone isn't ringing either! Hopefully we'll hear something soon!!!
