Default Red envelopes currently allowed?

I know the rules are changing and there will be no more cards allowed so I thought I'd bombard him with Valentine's day cards while I can. Unfortunately nearly all come with red envelopes. I've only ever sent mail in white envelopes. Will red ones get through while the new rules haven't taken effect? He's in Arkansas Valley.

I have sent all different color envelopes including red, so yes it should go through.

Call the mailroom. In the past there was never an issue, however, i sent my husband a card last week and he got a rejection notice. They wouldn't given him the envelope but they made a copy of it for him.

A little late but for future reference, the only thing I am aware of is cards may be rejected if they have glitter, the velvet flocking, or even gold/silver foil. Basically keep it plain. Never had a problem with the red envelope.

Thankfully he got all the cards. Though with the new rules I won't be able to send anymore which is a shame.

Unfortunately from the 1st march greeting cards are no longer allowed. Its a shame for loved ones but it is what it is. I believe cards recieved after that date will be photocopied and the copy given to the inmate.
