Default mail in reception-are they allowed to receive it?

are they allowed mail while in reception? My baby asked me why have I not written him???

its allowed but the first 2-3 weeks it is super slow. I don't think my b/f got but one letter I sent in the first couple of weeks and I wrote to him everyday.

Yes it is allowed, but as the above post said, at first the mail can be very slow, actually it's always slow, it still takes my boyfriend about two weeks to get my mail.

You can also send him paper, envelopes, stamps and in some cases pencils..

Yes, they can receiv mail. Also they can write back if you send them some stamps, envelopes and paper.
