Google numbers will get visitation and phone privleges suspended. Please don't do it. Get a cell phone that is local to his prison instead. Good luck!

I got a cell phone w/a 606# and it isn't considered local. When he was in another facility, I was able to get a number and he spent only $1 per call now it is $3.

TY for the warning.

Well that is weird.. Since the area code is 606... I wonder why the number is not considered local since technically it is a local number...

Sometimes even though the area code matches the prefix may not be local. I had this problem with Pollock La, the area code had to match but also the prefix(1st 3 numbers after area code) had to be a local prefix.

Yea, the first thing to try is to look at the phone number of the prison and try to get the same three digit prefix - if the prison is 606-822-1234, then you try for a number that starts with 606-822-xxxx

hostednumbers is a call forwarding service (as spelled out on their website) which is not allowed by the BOP. If call forwarding is discovered it can be cause to lose phone privileges.
