I am trying to order my first quarterly package for my bf (kind of exciting in such a weird way). I know that there is only 1 package per quarter (with californiainmatepackage.com) so here is my issue...the shoe options i can choose from are all out of stock and i know how badly he needs shoes. Does anyone know how often they restock this type of stuff? I can wait a couple of days before sending this off but would hate to wait and have them still be out of stock. Anyone have experience with this sort of thing? Thanks

I understand your excitment~ What I would do though is call the vendor. They would have the exact information you need and really all we could do is guess about it. Good Luck!

Try a different vendor. There is Access & Walkenhorst's off the top of my head that I know you can order from, maybe they have the shoes you need. It's hard to tell when these vendors will have stock again since the beginning of each quarter is the busiest due to everyone trying to get their orders in for the qtr. Good luck.

Also keep in mind if he has to pay restitution they will take 55% of what you deposit.

Does anyone know if we can send books to our loved ones? If so, do you know what company we can use?

You can use amazon.com or Barnes and Noble.

Books don't always get to them in a timely manner. I had ordered a book for my husband a few months ago. Received confirmation that it had been received at the facility and it took 5 weeks after being recieved at the facility before he finally got it.

Yup.. know what you mean Hun, books tend to go to R&R and sit there until they are ready to give them to the men. Frustrating I know, been there done that! Hang tight.

Yes, your mail will get forwarded to him. It'll be a few days since it will be rerouted to his correct building.

I had ordered a paperback book around Xmas, got confirmation that it was sent to donovan. Bf hadnt gotten it yet but i figured he would in time however today i got an email from Barnes& Nobles saying that they have refunded the cost to me as it was returned to them. I have no clue why, I will contact Barnes & Nobles tomorrow and see if they can tell me anything else but just a little confused as there is absolutely no reaosn why the book would not be sendable. Anyone have similar experiences in the past?

Default rejected books

Hello-
I ordered 5 books from Amazon before Christmas. They were sent in multiple shipments. The first was rejected- I have no idea why. The book was sent to the nearest Post Office and they want me to pick it up for return- I am in TN. Plus- it would cost more to return it than I paid for the darned thing! I haven't received any further emails from Amazon so am hoping the rest of the books have been accepted. My son has not received anything yet- he is in reception so I hope they find him before he is transferred.
You would think of all things a book would be OK!

Good luck to you-
Le Mara

At first I thought this was gonna be easy but now I'm not sure.. when my friend was transferred to Donavan I received 3 letters within the first week.. even one after he went from reception to yard 2... now I haven't received anything for over a week... should I be worried? Or is this just the usual mail "hold up"?

Sarah, contact R&R to see why they returned it- Ext 5524. I called them once to see why my hubby's quarterly package was returned & the gentleman that answered took my info and hubby's info down, researched and called me back within minutes (package was damaged) Maybe your book shipment was damaged? Hubby has told me R&R will not sign for damaged boxes.

Don't be worried, the mail is really unpredictable sometimes. Sometimes they're fast, sometimes they are slow.

I finally received a letter today.. but he said as of Wednesday 1/20.. he hasn't received any.. but seemed to already know that it would take a while.. by the time I'm accustomed to this it'll all be over... Thanks to anyone who's answered a question for me.. I couldn't imagine those of you with husbands, loved ones, who are gone for years... I pray for all of you often.. I know this has to be unbearable at times.. best of luck to all of you..

I've not had any issues. If it's incoming mail, the issue could be a lot of things. Mail staff on vacation, building specific issues (officers not handing out mail), etc. Has it been going on for awhile?
