Question Oregon DOC statutes/admin.rules?

I have been trying to find the Oregon statutes and/or doc admin.rules regarding housing after being in the hole. My son was put in the hole for an ipnvestigation but they had nothing against him. He was sent back to a unit at SRCI which was not the unit that he had been in before. He had been in the privileged housing unit (one side). He is now in a different unit which is much more difficult to deal with. My understanding is that he should have been put back into "one side". Does anyone know where I can find this statutes? rules? mission? for Oregon?
I sure would appreciate any help anyone can give me.

Here's a link to the OAR, but it doesn't mention what to do with the inmate once the inmate gets out of the hole: http://arcweb.sos.state.or.us/pages/...1/291_011.html

Link to OAR about the hearings prior to someone being placed in the hole: http://arcweb.sos.state.or.us/pages/...1/291_105.html

Neither has what you're looking for though, although the second one says that upon release, the inmate must be transferred back to a regular cell unless situation warrants transferring to a specialized part of the prison (mental health etc). Nothing about where they have to be specifically transferred to other than that it has to be regular housing unless there are mitigating factors.

Maybe Scott can help with this one.

There is no state statute (ORS) or administrative rule regarding the re-housing of inmates after being in the hole - or about any appeal regarding who is placed in honors housing. It is likely that, when he went to the hole, they put another inmate in his spot in honors housing and he may just have to wait until someone leaves honors housing to get back in. He should just put in a kyte requesting honors housing when they have a bed space.

There is no requirement that anyone be placed in the Honor Housing unit after release from the hole. All housing is at the discretion of the housing officer. Also, there are honor units on both two and three side. The exclusive use of one-side as as an Honor Unit changed in 2007.

There are definitely no administrative rules about housing that apply to your son't situation. Even bringing it up just annoys the Housing Officer. If he's having trouble in one of the units, he should speak to one of the Lieutenants, explain the situation, and see if he can get moved.

Just FYI, one-side is evolving into specifically mental health, geriatric units, and for those inmates working at the physical plant or Laundry. Most others will be moved into one of the two honor units on two or three side.
