Unhappy Possible carpool to Vandalia

Is anyone from Chicago that travels to Vandalia? I was wondering if it would be possible to get a carpool going or if anyone knows anyway to get out there that doesn't cost over $60. I know it would be worth it to spend the money to go see him but I'm very tight on cash.

________________________________________________

We would like to encourage our members to consider the following precautions when entering into a carpool/rideshare agreement with another member.
Before agreeing to carpool, certain issues should be discussed and decisions made. Issues that should be settled immediately include members’ feelings about the radio, conversation, smoking habits and eating.
You should also find out whether the vehicle, personal possessions, or clothing of either passengers or driver will contain illegal substances or contraband. This is a very important issue and should be addressed with your fellow travellers. Prisons routinely search vehicles and you should be aware if there is a possibility of something being discovered and action taken. Most states do not allow firearms, cameras or alcohol on prison grounds - do your research, find out what is the local policy.
Agree in advance on reimbursement for driving expenses, meals, toll roads, parking fees and so on. Agree on a way of payment and a timescale for payment to happen.
If you don’t know your carpooling buddies, feel free to ask them about their driving record. Make sure they have a valid drivers licence.
Make your pick-up point a public location until you thoroughly trust the other individual.
Use common sense and trust your instincts; with a little preparation carpooling can be very rewarding and often leads to long lasting friendships.
Finally, have a safe journey and enjoy your visits.

Hello. My husband recently got admitted to Vandalia to serve the rest of his sentence. I will be traveling down there to see him as soon as his visits are approved. I'll likely try to visit every other week and holidays. You can email if interested and anyone else. I don't smoke, have a clean and reliable 5 passenger vehicle. I can be reached at "e-mail address removed per PTO policy -please PM member"

Default am looking to carpool or ride share

Hi my boyfriend is in Vandalia. I only have Mondays and Sundays off of work and would like to go as soon as possible. None of the bus ride shuttles travel there on Sundays they all go Saturdays. I have been trying to go with State Wide Christian Transportation but there are not enough riders Statewidechristiantransportation.com is the website you can book online. I booked for Monday 1/16.. they charge 80 dollars and is a door to door service. ... If that doesn't work I would be willing to catch a ride with someone and share the gas money. My car is not safe enough for me to make the 4 hour drive from Chicago.

PM me or email me at (Removed per policy)

if interested.
