Default ASPC-Lewis Sunrise Unit questions

Does anyone know someone in the Sunrise Unit? I'm visiting in a few weeks and I need to know more about the dress code. Can you wear blue jeans or do they have to be black? How do you get there from the rest of the complex(Sunrise is seperated)?

Yep you can wear blue jeans, and Sunrise is across the street from Lewis. It's on the East side of highway 85, Lewis is on the West. Visitation is very relaxed there I hear and not very busy.

Libra,

Briandi is right, Sunrise visitation is relaxed.

The unit used to be used for Maximim Secuity for Juveniles. You take the exit for Lewis Prison. Make a left and go under the Hwy. Take a left at the next stop sign. Then a right. You will see Juvenile. It will be on your left. Just follow the road to the right (then it turns to the left) and you will be in the parking lot. There are no guard gates to go through to park your car. It might sound confusing here, but it is very easy to find!

You walk to the gate, press the button and wait for them to buzz you in. Then walk another few feet to another gate that will open. Its a short walk to the visitation room.

The visitation room is very small, but usually isnt crowded. Once your paperwork is approved you may walk in/out (picnic tables/smoking area) whenever you want.

Enjoy your visit!

This thread is nearly 10 years old. I am sure some of our members may be able to give you some information.
