Default What to expect Summit Program

Hi. My guy is currently in the SUMMIT program at Shutter Creek. He will be graduating (assuming all goes well) in July. I was just wondering what I should expect. I don't know how commencement will go or what to expect for transitional leave. He will be released into Lane County. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

How long did your guy have to wait to get into AIP? Months?

I don't know if OregonGirl still visits the board anymore or not.

Most of the people I know of didn't get into AIP until they were within 3 years of their release date. The timing seemed to vary with the crime, the person's "inside" record (like how often they got written up, if at all) and the whims of the bureaucracy. I'd say it would be extremely rare to get into an AIP before the 2-years-from-release date from what I've seen. Then the wait can be anywhere from 6 - 18 months. I can't remember anyone getting into an AIP in under 6 months.

Hope that helps. I can't answer for OregonGirl, but that's been what I've seen.
