Default employee here

Hello all,

I have posted a couple times, but then I realized I have not formally introduced myself. Which, I guess I can't really do anyways, because I am currently employed by the NC DOC.

I am here to answer any questions, well not any, but any that I can. I have been a case manager and a correctional officer, so I might be able to help.

I know it's not easy for the people on here, so if I can be of help let me know!

If I may - You can ask but the one to ask is the Inmate, himself.

What some of our Inmates have done is to request a print out of their Visit List and send them to their spouses

The Family and Friends Handbook

Thank you. I was trying to figure out if I can go behind his back and ask a guard or something about his visitation list. He is not going to give me that information.

Hey DOCemployee, I have a question my man is currentl in Minimum level 1 and he is getting his level 2 in March. I wanted to know if he transfers to another prison in May will he still be able to make his level 3 in September if he has no write ups? Or does he have to be at that facility for 6 months until he can move up a level?

Question help

Hi DOC employee. This is the first time I have ever been on here or in this situation, so please excuse any mistakes. I have a few questions if you can help. The situation is my husband recently (Jan.) got sentenced to 1yr. originally for a DWI in 2005, now its a Probation Revocation. We realize its our fault hes there.

Hes at Dan River Prison Work Farm (near VA) and I am here in Carteret County with a 17mo. old and cant make the trip to see him. So i guess my question is do you know how he could get transferred closer to home? Would he be able to get Parole? I heard they don't do that anymore. He has not been in any trouble since. Thank you for any help.
