We use JPay; much easier and you can do it on-line and get confirmation. The website won't allow posting of their website link, but you can probably figure it out.

Here ya go mommy, the money orders have to be sent to :

Accounting Dept
P.O. Box 799007
San Diego, CA 92179-9007

You also have to write your inmate's last name and CDC# on them as well. I would also agree that JPay is alot faster, but if you must send via money order, there it is for ya . I also found out that if your inmate owes restitution, and you simply wanna pay on that without 45% of the amount going to the inmate...you can simply write his last name, CDC # and then CDCR Restitution Only on it....just f.y.i.

They actually take out 55% out for restitution not 45%

Yes, you're correct. But I was stating that if you wanna pay on the inmate's restitution without the inmate getting his 45% so that 100% goes to restitution, then address the money order as I had shown.

Default Jpay says my man is blocked. I can't send money to this inmate?

Blocked? Anybody else have that happen or know why? Also, if I get a money order does it have to be a postal m.o. or can it be other types they have??

So much for trying to do this as quickly as possible LOL

I have never heard of someone being blocked before. Have you tried calling the customer service number on the site to see if they can tell you what it means?

As for Money Orders all I know is that I have always heard that you should send a postal one. I do not think that is the rule, I just think it is because it is clears faster. Don't quote me on that, but that is what I have heard.
