Death row inmates in SQ can get contact visits (in a cage) if they are grade A. If they are in trouble, they'll be grade B, and visits are behind glass.

Last weekend was assigned visiting cage next to Scott Peterson for two hour visit. He's just another person receiving a visit from loved ones/friends. When I'm visiting with my special friend, all I see, hear and concentrate on is him . It's like the rest of the world just disappears for two glorious hours.

I agree, regardless if we feel he is innocent or guilty it is best to kept that to ourselves. Yes I too have my personal opinion that I choose to keep to myself. I would be devistated if I was looking for a support group to come across one that just negatively blasted my loved one. Most of us that are here on PTO are here because we have a loved one behind walls and we all need to stick together......regardless if we have different opinions of someones case.

My cousin works as a CO inside San Quentin and I curiously asked her if she ever sees Scott? She replied, "yes and he has a perfect view of the waters where he placed his wife's body." I was like WTF?????? Even though she is my family member it really pissed me off to know that people like her work inside with our loved ones. If she has such harsh feelings like that about him I can just imagine how she and other treat the other inmates. It just isn't right! I can honestly say that she was such a great person prior to getting hired as a CO. Once she stepped foot inside she did a whole 360 with her attitude.....and now it really sucks!

They don't have that much of a view in there. The windows are small and they can hardly see anything out of them. It was just a sarcastic comment this CO made.

To anyone out there who wonders about Scott. He is one of the nicest. most caring and kindest person I have ever known.
It seems like so many girls are attracted to him because of his looks. Scott is much more attractive for WHO he is and NOT what he looks like.
He never thinks of himself as any better than anyone else in San Quentin.
He is appealing his case just like everyone else. He minds his own business - I know this for sure.
I would trust him with my life!
Please don't reply to ME since I said all I want to and won't write back privately. Please don't take offense. I just said what I said and I'd only be repeating myself.
I feel sorry for all you women who are waiting, hoping, and praying for your family member or loved one to get out or to get through the living hell of San Quentin and any other such hell on this earth. It's hard.
Peace and love to you all!

Scott is the most compassionate man I know. He is blessed with the good look along with a wonderful soul. That makes him Awesome!!!! I pray that God will touch many peoples hearts and fill them with compassion so they will not be so judgemental.

I don't care if he is really guilty or innocent. He is a person in his own right and deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.....as do all people in this world. It doesn't matter if they are 'handsome', have a 'wonderful soul' or have a propensity to cause harm. Each person has their own qualities that makes them special to someone, and that is what makes us great.

I can't even imagine looking at a man
being handsome and good looking who killed
his pregnant wife. All the evidence
shows proof he did it. My heart goes out to
Lacy Petersons family! I don't believe in
death penalty and I don't find him attractive.
I do feel for his family having to go thru
everything they will have to go thru for his deeds.
I pray they can find closure in all this as well.
Allot of times we don't think about the family
of the person who has done the crime as they
didn't ask for this either.

Blessings to all the families involved.

Ladies most of you know that PTO is a place where inmates and their families can find support that includes Scott Peterson and his love ones. This is not the place to pass judgement on any one. Thanks in advance.

If Scott Peterson's mother, friends, or family are reading PTO posts, I do wish them well, and hope that they get some comfort from this online community. I'm glad that he gets to have visits. I believe everyone, including those on death row, should have contact with the outside -- they are still human beings.

Having followed the trial (I live in Northern California), the evidence was OVERWHELMING against him. Folks, he did the crime. And it was horrendous. It was beyond the pale. And he is now behinds bars. I do NOT, however, support the death penalty, so I don't think Peterson, or any others, should be put to death. I believe the death penalty is like premeditated murder, so I don't support it.

At any rate, I do hope Peterson's family gets some comfort from being able to contact him. I myself, would never contact him, because I could never get past the crime, however, I am not his family.

I wish everyone well. And please, let us end the death penalty, for no matter how terrible the crime, killing an inmate cannot bring back an innocent victim.

I live in the same city where Scott Peterson was convicted of killing his wife and unborn child.. I did follow his case, but will not express any opinions I have in this forum. I feel for both families, because they are suffering. I hope they find comfort in their thoughts and believes concerning this case..

I always thought it was unfair that he was convicted in the media before even starting his case. My friend currently has a case and the newspaper writes as though they are being charged with murder and the comments are UGLY. Fortunately it has stayed pretty local but people judge without knowing anything. The charges carry a maximum of 10 years at half time (non-violent). The newspaper is not even accurate but writes all kinds of misinformation. It makes me wonder who else was convicted based on false information and speculation. Everybody thinks they "know" because the newspaper said it. I have found out the police lie, the DA lies and the media lies. I feel for all the families impacted by media attention especially those subjected to national attention.

Its pretty typical to condem someone who's case make the news.
Its headlines.
My take is.....dont believe all you read, and if it concerns you or your family.
NEVER read.

The Peterson case was a hard case to hear so much about.
I sort of followed it.
Felt HORRIBLE for both families.
How terribly sad.

For those who want to further condem Scott Peterson......

How would you feel if this was YOUR loved one?
How would you feel coming onto this site to find information on mail, or visits, or How to send a loved one a stationary package, and read about your loved ones crime, and what folks thought about it or not.

Just dont.
Hell. Thats what we have the newpaper reply section for.
PTO is here to support those who've been thru it. In one way or another.

I got Scott's half-sister Anne's book from the library yesterday and am already on the last chapter. Yes, I think Scott killed Laci and Connor, but I don't believe he did it to be with that Amber Frey woman. I think he just didn't want to be married any longer and never wanted to be a father.

Excuse the pun but let's keep it respectable here on PTO as some of the families do come here for support and rather not come on to see other people talking about their love ones smerks or creepy faces. I'm sure none of us would want our loved ones talked about. Thanks in advance.
