Default Can I send fully cooked meats from Amazon to Greene Correctional Facilty?

Hi,

I'm new to this site.
Can I send fully cooked meats from Amazon to Greene Correctional Facilty?
I know he can only recieve 2 food packages a month equaling 35lbs. but will they accept a package from Amazon?

If not, what other companies are reasonably priced and comply with the rules of the prison?

TIA

Yes as long as receipt is in box and return address is from Amazon, not third party.
**just fyi, they can purchase this item in commissary. The packed cold cuts still can go bad by delivery time. Jerky and dried meats are no problems.

We like Emma's if using a vendor for food. Amazon may not send it all in one box.

Most are reasonable as they are the Costco size, but somethings have quite a mark up.

Out of them all, we only use Emma's. Usually I mail from home. I'll stick the food in freezer first, so it doesn't spoil.

Emma's nails with dry ice.

From home or through them, shipping is about the same.

Produce and juice has a large mark up though.

If possible, I shop by a supermarket near the facility and bring it.

No cans over 16 oz, vacuum sealed all food nothing spicy

I thought you're not allowed to mail packages from home and it must come directly from the approved NYS vendor???

Ok thanks, Emma's looks good but pricey. But if they package the items in accordance to NYS package rules it may be worth it. I am waiting to receive their Holiday code. Does anyone have it?

You can mail packages from home. I do it all the time. I just brought food this weekend up to our visit.

They want to change it, but that has not happened yet.

Some deals are better on Amazon or Walmart and I ship them to the house, then put everything in one box to be mailed.

Emma's prices are the same as Costco for the meats, but they last longer. Mine is in a cooking facility now, so he has access to a fridge and freezer, which makes a difference as far as stretching the food all month.

But yes, you can mail out the box from.home or bring it there.
