my bf is at dominguez, just got transferred a couple weeks ago...intake is taking a couple weeks...the only reason i was able to get a letter from him is because someone was "generous enough to lend some paper"!!!!(his words) not sure how u send him money but although he cant write to u just yet because they have to get all their supplies from commissary u can write to him...ive got the address....u will have to call up there and get his TDCJ#.... i know my baby at least appreciates that he knows how i am doing...message me nd i will give u watever info i can....or if its easier for u google dominguez unit and all the info is there. either way message me anytime...would love to b able to share with someone who is this close to home...its my first bid ever and im an emotional wreck...good luck to u

Agency policy states no limit, but some unit policies limit it to 40 or less at a time. Best to call and find out.

If you haven't found out about jpay.com yet check it out its an easy way to send money and also to send electronic letters that they get the same day if u send it in the morning or the next day if its sent later in the day...It took a litter over 2weeks for me to get my first letter but I sent him a letter everyday thru jpay during those 2weeks and in his first letter he asked me to keep sending them they really helped him thru...so I do know jpay has helped me in getting letters to him easier and faster...

Hi everyone, my boyfriend just got transferred to Dominguez yesterday. These next months will be hard on both of us. I got used to seeing him every visit and phone calls every day when he was in county jail... Now I see here that it could be 1 phone call every 90 days??!! I also read that I would have to be a spouse to get contact visits. What can I do if i'm his common law wife? Would that be accepted? What do I need to show to be allowed contact visits? It would be nice to have someone to msg with that is in a similar situation as I am...

I cannot really answer your question about the common law wife thing, but it can be done so y'all can get contact visits. It just needs to be approved first. Maybe you should check out the visitation forum under TDCJ-What you need to know! That should be able to help you. As for phone calls that is not true! As long as he has not been in any trouble and is not on medium or closed custody of G4 or higher then he should be allowed phone calls. Google "Texas Offender Friends and Family" and that website is where you can see the rules for registering your phone and if you follow them, you can register your phone! If you have any other questions about phone, check out the Phone forum under TDCJ-What you need to know, that should help you as well!

You just drive in and park, they have a CO in the front who asks if you have a cell phone or anything in your pockets besides car keys & ID. Then you go in the door and pass through a metal detector, you also have to remove your shoes.
