Default My crazy dog.

I have to share this.
I adore my dog. He tolerates me. lol. My hub and my son are his favs, even tho I do most of the feeding, ball time, walk time etc.
(tho in all honesty, hub does most of the poop patrol)

Anyway.
I come home after work yesterday. Pup gives usual greeting.
(bows down, wiggles over.....leans into your legs)
I start to put my work stuff away. He follows with a squeeky toy in his mouth.
I realize he has not had enough play time this day. So I plan on taking him and the chuckit stick and ball to the park around the corner.

I notice he didnt finish his *breakfast*
I say to him, Ricky?! You didnt finish your food!
You should go finish it.
He goes over to his bowl....sticks his head in (while looking to see where I am in the room) He does this sometimes when he thinks Im going to leave the room and go someplace without him.
So he starts making noises like he's eating.
He's not.
He's fake eating. (licking the side of his bowl)
He knows I like him to have eaten before I take him someplace for a long day (he goes to day care some days....yeah, I know. spoiled)

I walk over and look. He *freezes*
He didnt eat anything more. but he made it sound like he was.
I just started laughing.
I said, you finish up your food and then we can go.

He starts eating.
lol
Then after he finished his food, he looks to me for more.
(its a thing he does sometimes. He gets a taste and then its time to eat more) Since this was the remainder of his *breakfast* and almost time for *dinner* I gave him more, along with the yogurt he gets with his food.

Fake eating.
I swear.

Too cute. They're so much smarter and manipulative than we often give them credit for.

Mine would fake sit.
"Mina, go sit down."
takes two steps, lowers haunches to about 4" from the floor and hovers
"Minaaaa..."
shuffles front feet, butt still hovering
"Domina Henderson! (yes, she had a full name including my married name at the time...lol"
butt drop

drama queen much?

Clever dog, they are so much more smart than sometimes we give them credit.
