Default What does "WRIT ISSUED" mean?

My husband was sentenced to 48 month in federal prison in April 2017. He had state cases that were unresolved. He filed the necessary paper work asking for dismissal and received response that they will not dismiss them. I went online to see what it says under status and it says WRIT ISSUED. What does this mean? He is going to be deported anyway after his sentence. Are they really going to transport him to each county courtroom(there are 3)? What a waste of taxpayers money. Also he has no attorney. How is this handled?

Here is what I found regarding the term, so at this point it may mean that the are waiting the final document.

Writ Definition: An official court document, signed by a judge or bearing an official court seal, which commands the person to whom it is addressed, to do something specific.
