Default CMRC Closing March 7th

https://www.coloradopolitics.com/hol...d6aad.amp.html

The article keeps disappearing but this is what I was able to get from google cache. Geo apparently sent them notice on the 1st.

On November 1, Gov. Jared Polis announced through his budget request his intention to*closedown the private*Cheyenne Mountain Re-Entry*Center inColorado Springs. Tuesday, he got his wish, but it's a lot earlier than his corrections chief might want.

Good riddance. My husband said they weren't fed enough when he was in there.

Only good thing about that place is that they allowed us to get married.

They don't feed them enough at any DOC facility. But then again, nobody wants to eat that slop.

It was worse than the usual amount at CMRC. An example of my husband's daily allotment there:

Breakfast: Coffee mug amount of oatmeal.
Lunch: Half a ham and american cheese on white bread sandwich and an apple.
Dinner: About the same portion sizes of something else.

That's practically a starving mans diet. How is anyone supposed to exist on that?

The quarterly package system apparently and commissary.

Oh, and it gets worse. The whole place got hit with norovirus, he went from 135 pounds down to 110 before they let him see medical. He is 6 foot tall.

No I haven't, he's on a writ in Denver right now. I thought I'd get a call from the county jail. But i haven't. Idk how long he will be in denver. I know in the prison they have him blocked from calling me. He use to be able to call me when he was at the county jail. But he hasn't called. So idk what's up. I'm sure he's doing fine though.
