Default He's been home and things are great!

Hello everyone,

I use to visit this site quite frequently but it has been a very long time. My husband was unfortunately sentenced to a 14 year mandatory minimum for a non violent first time offender in federal prison. The good news is he has been home now for a couple of months and things are going great! I am extremely proud of him. He is working hard and obeying the laws. 😃 He won't even drive 5 miles over the speed limit. He adapted back into society almost like he never left. (Except he still carries around a little notepad) Ugh! I will get rid of that some day! Shhhhh! I just wanted to tell all the members of prison talk thank you for helping me through a lot of tough years. I really enjoyed a lot of the knowledge that I gained on this site from Zelda, fboonomore, and many others. It also felt good to know I was not the only one in the world going through the hard ache of a love one that had been affected by the federal justice system. My only word of advise is be a strong supporter for your loved one. It truly helps when they come home and want to do what's right. Also don't stress too hard for what's out of your control. Yes keep your voices heard in Congress but don't let it destroy you. It defiantly did me for a couple years but then I decided they will not win!! Good luck to all of you that have a loved one in the system. Keep your head up and know that for most it does end some day!
