This is beyond frustrating. I called there too but I don’t think they would say anything even if they knew. It’s horrible

My guy called me right before the lockdown for about one minute saying they were going on lockdown and that was Sunday, March 4th. I didn't send him any letters last week because the lockdowns don't usually last this long but I sent him 2 letters and hoping he receives them by end of week and I sent him a book as well. This is the longest lockdown.

Jennajones, You are correct. My friend sent me two letters one dated March 5th and one dated March 6th and they both arrived just yesterday the 12th. So there is a slight delay. Also, I mailed him a letter on March 2nd and he received it on March 6th.

Hi Newleaf15,

Did he give any hint as to the reason for the lockdown when you talked to him on Sunday?

That Sunday during that lockdown and when he was speaking to me quickly, he told me that everyone that was coming from the yard was being strip searched and he told me had to go as they were going on lockdown. I sent him letters yesterday and today and most likely he won't receive them until end of week. This upcoming weekend is his weekend for visit (odd) but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen... We shall see...

No, he was really confused as to what was going on. He called me really rushed and said that everyone was being stripped search from the yard. He then told me had had to get off the phone as they were going to lock his room. That was the last I heard from him.

Glad I finally found people who have loved ones at Coleman Medium during this lockdown. We need to pray for each other as well as the inmates, staff, administration over there. I have been 'doing' prison over twenty years and this is the first time there has been a lockdown for this long. It must be very serious. God's blessings of peace to all of you.

It is such a big secret! Where is the media! I only know it must be bad, probably a stabbing. My husband had mentioned after the last 4 day one, that there were a lot of knife fights on the yard. And they are under staffed. A bad situation. I know this did not surprise God. He already knew. I am just praying for my husband's endurance and thanking God that my husband is safe.

https://www.bop.gov/locations/institutions/com/ As long as that website say "visitation is suspended until further notice" at the top of the page that means they are on lockdown

Thanks for the info! When they were locked down in February, I thought my husband was moved, sick or dead cuz there was no warning. I have some peace when I know it is lockdown. Now I know where I can go!

They are still on lockdown i finally got a letter from my husband today. He said they dont know when it will end but he didnt say whats going on since they read mail so he was careful in what he wrote. He said he is ok and they have just been stuck in the rooms. You can check the link about in the thread and if the top of thay page says visitation is suspended until further notice then the lockdown has not been lifted

Thank you so much for the information. This Sunday it will be two weeks. I call everyday, and today someone told me that there is no lockdown, he doesn't know where I'm getting my information from! I didn't go ham on the person that answered just because I didn't want to make a bad situation worse. Thanks to all the ladies on this site that keeps us informed.
