Default Read This Before Asking About Receiving Calls on a Cell Phone

Times have changed, and a lot of people do not even have a land line anymore. Cell phones are more common than land lines now. A lot of DOC facilities and even county facilities now allow calls to be made to cell phones.

It is always a good idea to check with the facility and the phone provider that serves the facility to make sure that calls are allowed to be made to cell phones.

Default Fyi:

Most facilities/providers that allow cell phones do not allow prepaid cell phones. It must be a phone under contract. Also, the name on the phone bill must match the ID during the verification process.

I have a prepaid boost mobile phone and the Maryland DOC allows it. My husband could even call me on a free phone app on my iPod.
