I'm getting on plane from London to Florida that is 9 hours 20 minutes flight and then my friend's mother will drive for two hours to his jail so we can visit him let's hope his unit will not be on a lockdown cause I will go so angry.. I'm visiting him Saturday Sunday and Monday and I travel back on the same day back home to England..

I hope all that you that travel such long distances know about audio books from your library? You can download them to your phone from home - all you need is a library card and they really help the miles fly by.

I made it and saw him tonight. He is not feeling well...terrible head and chest cold. I just wish I could bring him some medicine. Praying he sleeps well and is feeling better tomorrow!

Thank you I do have some serious dedication for real We met before Incarceration, then married when he got out the first time and after 3 years he went in for VOP due to non paid fines that we thought was paid, but they didnt care to tell us he owed interested ( which shouldnt have been charged to him as he was in Prison the first time ) We do get phone calls and now finally emails which helps a lot. Tomorrow will be my first and only time they will allow me an hour visit cause I drive over state line to see him. I love him so much and just feel so much better after I see him, but then I get sad once I cross that state line again knowing he is so far away

I admire your loyalty! Not everybody can do it. 💪🏼Lately it's been the same for me... Driving 6 hours to only be allowed and 30 min visit.. And two weeks ago I came and visit for only 15mins..... By the time they stopped giving me the run around and finally pulled him out to visit.. 15mins... THEY ARE REALLY SOMETHING ELSE IN USP VICTORVILLE!. But it will not stop me from loving him and missing him.. And coming down to see him. He needs to see me, like I need to see him. He is so sad when I don't come... But I will admit the bullsh** they give me has started to stop me from coming so often. I've started coming every other weekend... Instead of every weekend.. And now I can't go back to every weekend. I need the break from that place.. BTW I'm Mya and I knew my guy outside prison but we really started our relationship inside prison. We have known each other for years, but lived in two separate worlds.. ... If that makes sense..

I drive 8 hours to see him. I always check into a hotel so we get 4 visits altogether during a 2 day stay. I've been making this trip once a month but winter is gonna be super long and lonely for us both cause I'm not driving it when the roads are bad Counting down the years already!!!

WOW 15 mins that would drive me insane. They have a way of trying our loved one's patience as well as our's I believe. My husband is trying to figure out how it would be easier on me due to work and the cost and all and has suggested coming like once a month.. THERE IS NO WAY, id lose my mind lol. He has 16 months so we still have a long haul, but it could be worse I guess. I love him and one thing I know its getting harder and harder to leave him there .

Not sure yet where my brother will be. But my oldest brother and I drove 18 hours in hopes for a pre sentence release. Tried to plan a visitation but only to be denied. Only do contact visits the last Thursday of the month. We were a week early. And he wasn't released to us. So we Are praying for a closer location once he is sentenced. 🤞🏻

I'm lucky enough that my bf is in, and will be staying in the county jail... When I'm off work i visit him daily, otherwise the weekend.

Its a 30 minute drive, but i have to get there about an hour early, for a 1 hour visit.

When my husband was in Florence I would visit every weekend (1 hr drive), but since he was moved to Kingman I haven't gone to visit him it's just too far (6 hr drive). I do miss him terribly.

Default Travel Time

I used to only see him once a month because he was 5 hours away on the other side of the state. So I would take the bus. I would also do a virtual visit with him as well. But he moved a few months back I am now blessed to be able to drive 2 hours and 45 minutes away to see him. Every weekend. I usually go with a group or one other person. Sometimes by myself. I love that he is closer oddly enough I miss the scenery of where he was previously placed.

Mine is 3 1/2 and the same back. I just seen him in July 25th and he's not being understanding. Understanding that I'm a scary driver. Hate bridges!! I'd have to go through NTC :/
