2018 ended on a great note. My son called and he has signed the get out paperwork. On schedule for the date in May and no warrants showed up, which means we were successful in getting Wisconsin to accept his time in AZ as time served on his violation of that plea agreement. He called me NY's Eve. Best call to date.

My boyfriend is coming home in just over two weeks. We have been planning for home to pick him up, but I canít find any information on what Iím going to have to do when I do. I canít even get an approximate time to be at the facility. Itís been a really tough journey, and now that itís so close itís so frustrating to not know whatís going to happen.

My loved one should be out this year. We have about 9 months. Not sure what to expect from the man. How far in advance does federal parole start contancting?

Feeling sort of amazed and unreal. An 8 year sentence for my son, 85% required to be served, in 2012 it felt like it was so far away. Now, 4 months to go, it seems like time has sped up. There will be new obstacles to overcome and at age 29 his life will start over from the perspective of living with mom and how to afford to get his own place and move out. Parole will last until August 2020.

I will no longer look at clothes and think does this meet the requirements for visitation!!!

This is amazing. He has a great support system, so while the road maybe bumpy you'll love him through it. Very happy for you

Default one step closer

The parole officer visited me last week. Subject to the background check I am approved for him to be released to my home. So we are 1-step closer.

Thankfully, it happened sooner than I expected. I will be gone for 2 weeks in March, which is when the CO3 expected the parole department would contact me. I was surprised that the officer just showed up at my door. It went well and she did appear to be more interested in having them succeed than in having them revoked. Her office is an hour away, which has been a problem for past parolees in our county. But she has set up satellite offices and one of those is close enough he could walk there or take a bus if necessary.

The DOC webiste updated his end date and it is a month sooner than it was listed before. So 14 months of parole upon his release. Parole fees of $65 a month, anger management class and counseling required.

Surprisingly, I can have alcohol in the house if I want to. The only limitation on my rights is no weapons in the house, which I don't have anyway.

So one step closer.

Hello. This might be a really stupid question, but I'm still trying to figure the prison system out. My boyfriend is in the doc now. I have no clue as to when he is for sure coming home. How did you find out?
