Default Region III Work Release Centers

Can anyone offer any present information about the work release centers in the Region III area? Specifically Kissimmee, Daytona Beach, and Bridges? How are these centers when it comes to finding jobs?

I can speak for Bridges.. there the Staffing or Employment Specialist, what ever they call him... if he doesn't set up the interview, more than likely he will not let you out on the interview. There will be some reason why you cannot go. He sent my son out on interviews to places that were closed.. yes, not even in business anymore, that were not hiring.. when my son got there, he was told no one was expecting him & that they were not hiring. When my son found places on his own to go to by cold calling on the phone, he was not allowed to go on the interviews. He eventually was taken out to a place where he was hired but it was a temp job. This was known by the Staffing Specialist at the time, he was told it when they called the place looking for guys. My son worked 3 weeks and the job was over. He had to look for work for the next 2 weeks.. the 3 weeks he did work, the first week, he worked about 20 hours, the next week about 18 hours and the last week, 40 hours.. therefore making the last pay check a larger one & they based his non working weeks of subsistence at the 40 hour payment He found a job on his own at the end of 2 weeks. He had the interview, and wasn't allowed to go. The place he had the interview with hires guys from the Center too, but the Staffing Specialist would not let him out on the interview because the owner of the company didn't call him "looking for guys". My son had to call the owner & have him call the center for them to release him for that interview. He was hired. By the time all the paperwork went thru (since the center dragged their feet, also wouldn't give him a draw for his work boots that were needed for this job) it took another week before he started. Therefore making him 3 weeks behind in his subsistence at the 40 hour check.. and he had earned more per hour than what this new job was paying.. it took him a long time to catch up to where he should be. Bridges doesn't "allow" you to take draws (have your own money) unless you have $250 in your inmate account.. and even then, they only allow you a max of $50 a week, were as DOC allows $100... ....also do a search on all the posts I have about Bridges.. I don't recommend that center...
