Default Federal Good Time calculations

Hello,
My Sweetie has an outdate of 10/17/2007. He's been in since 9/1990. I read the time table on the www.bop.gov website. I called and spoke with a CO at the FPC in Lewisburg, PA and he stated that He would be placed in a halfway house six months prior to that date. Can I trust any of that info? I need to hear from someone that's good with the time calculations because I'm confused.

The longest time given for halfway house is 6 months. It is typically 10% of the sentence.

oh yeah... welcome to PTO

They say that we live and learn and I've been researching this entire situation. I learned about the furloughs and out of the blue he mentioned in his letter that since he's short, he's entitled to at least A 12 hour visit with me.... I cannot wait. This is a lonely place to be right now.

Not to be too doom and gloom, but I think the word "entitled" is a little too strong. In general terms prisoners are "entitled" to very little; he can ask for a furlough, but don't bank on him getting one. I HOPE he does, but there are no promises.

Hi and welcome to PTO. My boyfriend is in the lewisburg camp too. To answer your question, if he has an out date of 10/07 he should be going to a halfway house sometime in 4/07.
