i guess it varies. my loved one is in wayside south facility and sometimes it takes 4 days for him to get or it takes 2 weeks. maybe it depends on the officer. whether they feel like checking mail or not on that day.

Hi everyone, Can anyone tell me what time you need to get in Line when visiting at Pritchess. I know the line can get bad and I want to make sure I get in.

are you referring to pitchess detention center? if so, i know a lot of people like to go early, but when I was visiting at wayside I would get there around 11 and the line was usually pretty short

I also use to get there between 10:30-11:00 and the line wouldn't be bad at all. I also use to sometimes go between 1:30-2:00 and it would be empty. As long as you get through the gates before 2 you're good to go! Heads up, visiting on the holidays aren't crowded at all. I went Thanksgiving, Xmas, and New Years last year and was in and out!

I'll second getting there around 10-10:30 a.m. Once that initial morning line moves through it seems to be lighter. However, last Sunday I arrived late around 11:30 p.m., stood in line until about 1:45 p.m. and didn't get inside the visiting room until 2:30. That was unusual but still, an all day trip.

I've always been lucky around the 10:30 a.m. time.

Because I had to work, I would always get there early, but when I would come out at 10-11am, there was really no line, so if you can get there later, go for it! Some crazy people try to get there at like 6am...no thank you....LOL
