Question Expired Marraige LIscense

I got married to my husband in the beginging of september through the ivy house in losangeles, while my husband was serving time in county jail. I got a temporary liscense with an expiration date, after he transfered to prison. Then I called the ivy house , they said we would receieve official liscense from the state of california, sacramento office, within 90 days. About a month ago I recieved the marraige certificate, all in color with stamp on it and everything looks legit, except this one has an expiration date also, NOVEMBER25,2003. IT EXPIRED ONE WEEK AFTER I GOT IT. is this normal? Will this affect my conjucal visitation eligibility?please help someone, im stressing.

I wish I could give you answers. I never even heard of a temporary marriage license.

Hi LIL GHOST"S LADY, maybe I can give some insight on this subject, you may want to post this in the CALIFORNIA FORUM.

An aquaintance of mine got married at the IVY HOUSE in Inglewood back in Sep of 01, and I was there when she marriend her husband who was in the coubty at the time also. Not even 30 days later she received her marraige license it ooks just like mine with no expiration date, not that it helps her in any way he had domestic violence charges on is jacket and in there for 187 and he cant get familiy visits anyway. So,to answer your question NO I havent heard of a temporary license now I know that when you apply for a license they give you I believe 90 days from the date of application to set up a date to be married. So, if you were actually married you in the Ivy Chapel and him on the phone etc. etc etc you should have a valid license that probably costed you $300.00 right? If you have any questions you can PM ME......
