Default Coronavirus: stay home or go to jail for violating MI's Public Health Code

If you don't follow quarantine orders, apparently you could be arrested and sent to jail.

In addition to potentially exposing other people to the disease, they also could face fines $200 and up to six months in jail, or both, for violating the state's Public Health Code, said Lynn Sutfin, a spokeswoman for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
Sounds like a great idea! Let's get someone with a super-contagious illness into a building in close quarters with other people

I get the irony, but I think the article stopped short of saying 'arrest on spot and put in jail with other people'. Rather- "This can include a court order to follow treatment, remain isolated, be committed to a facility, or any other relief that the court finds proper."

Many of our loved ones don't start serving their sentences immediately. Suppose for a moment that a violator could be taken to secure quarantine and then face jail time when recovered.

Even besides this outlier scenario, I cringe at how many first responders are going to be exposed to coronavirus.
