Hi I'm new to CMC and I just have a question. If I'm driving up the 101 from Los Angeles it says to take the CA-1 and then turn right onto walnut then another right onto Santa Rosa st. Does that sound right ? Is the prison easy to find ? My fiancé is located at West facility. I'm just worried I'll get lost lol and I don't want that to happen. Thanks for answering and God Bless

I am also looking for the same, it can add up quickly.

When booking your rooms try hotels.com because you get rewards, every 10th room is free. Or orbitz you get rewards in cash back to go towards future purchases on rooms. Every little bit helps.
***Not sure of the next time Im going up next because I have bday party on the weekend Im suppose to go & then I really want to go up those 3 days ( new years, then sat & sun) but next time lets try to meet up maybe have coffee or drink - we may be able to work something out to (if you like that is). Have a blessed day...Sharon

Yes. When you get off, well the off ramp for the 1 you turn right, you'll see the el toro motel on your right. Then on Santa Rosa is the Main Street which turns back into the 1. Turn right. You pass thru a portion of the town and keep going about 5 miles? You pass the college, the. You'll see signs on the right for the prison. At that light where you turn right you are entering the prison grounds. For west side turn left at the stop sign and keep going. You'll see the parking lot at the end. It sounds sorta complicated by directions, but it's right off the highway and as long as you stay on the main road leaving town you'll see it. Again, once you leave the town area it is another 5 or so miles. But just watch the signs. It's a pretty big one. And it's like the 3rd light after the town area.

Hi Ladies,
I wanted to ask how is the visiting? Are they really strict on what you wear? What are the things I should stay away from. Also if I want to get a visit making an appointment for contact is it through Vpass or do I have to call the prison it's self

You can make an appt. online on the CDCR website.

No orange, blue (of any shade), or green. Nothing see through, stay away frm chiffon if you have to wear a tank top underneath because you can't layer your clothing. Nothing can be shorter than 2 inches above your knees, no hoods, jeans, or sweats. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Not sure about the cells, dorms.
Im guessing that you may have to go thru the whole marriage packet thing again at this new prison.
If you have an approval to visit him in Corcoran you should be ok.
If you had approval to visit someone else in Corcoran, then I think you may have to reapply to visit someone else in CMC.....(sorry if I got that wrong re: who's who.)

Could you be referring to F yard and not facility? If it's F yard then that's the area he is staying in.

Hello, my hubby transferred her about a week ago and I'm trying to get info on visiting and if anyone knows how long it is before he will be able to call after orientation. Any and all info that I need to know will be helpful. He is housed on the East.

Not sure I'd call it orientation lol. But my husband is on the west and it took about 2 weeks to get 1st call. Then one a month unless he goes to school or gets a job.

Yeah it's not orientation but that's what they use to say it was. We've been dealing with the prison system for way too long for it technically be called "orientation". Lol. I did finally get a call tonight so for him it took less than 2 weeeks. Hopefully he gets into school soon since he was A1A at the previous prison. Thanks for the info!
