Exclamation Please help my son's father stay sane in unjustified solitary confinement

My 7 year old son's father is serving a 5yr. sentence for drug possesion. He has a 1 1/2 left. He was sent to solitary confinement after a joint was found in his possesions after being moved to a new facility. This joint was found after 2 searches by officials. It was found when his property came to the new facilty. He has plead innocent to this charge but with no proof, his word means nothing to officials. He is a smart, wonderful person who mades some dumb choices in life. Please, anyone...Write him a letter of encouragement. He needs it badly. He sits in a locked room by himself all day long and listens to men whom, may or may not have mental issues that are PROBABLY untreated, make catcalls and yell all day & night. Some of these men have even thrown feces at guards. He seems to be increadibly depressed, sad, and now has a hard time sleeping because of the screaming at night. The place is going to drive him crazy without reminders to know there is an outside world! I can only do so much with phones calls with our son, letters, and pictures. His friends and family have slowly taken the "out of sight out of mind" approach. He can't visit with our son either, so it's been even harder.
Please write him a letter or postcard of encouragement! He so so so needs it!

I'll be happy to. I'm signing off the forum long enough to write a short one and enclose in a nice card. It was wonderful how everyone at PTO sent cards and letters to my son when he was incarcerated. That's what kept him going and again my thanks to everyone.

Hi there. My man was in the hole for 3 years. I understand how you are feeling, i was really worried too. But, hang in there. He will be okay. I'm gonna send a picture postcard from Venice Beach, California. It will be in the mail tomorrow.

Default Greatest Thanks

Thank you sooo much everyone for just caring enough to take the time out for a stranger. It means so much to me. I spoke to Jerry today and he had already received a few cards and notes. He was confused...lol...and thought I was "setting Him up" because they were from females...lol. But he already seems happier and is so greatful.
If I can d the same for anybody else...Please PM me their info, because this really does make a differance.

He can also receice books but only if paperback.

Thank you again everyone....I'll keep you updated.

Bohan, I rec'd a very nice letter from your hubby today expressing his sincere gratitude for the funny card and short letter I sent to cheer him up. He says he doesn't know if he'll ever hear from me again, but that he hopes so, because it brought someone a very large piece of happiness.

I don't mind sending a funny card occasionally, but do not want to be a Pen Pal. I'm sure he doesn't expect that anyway. His letter was ultra-polite. If you need me to send a card again, let me know. It makes me feel really good to be able to bring a ray of sunshine into someone's life.
