Question

Hello everyone! So I just spoke to my husband and he let me know that he already turned in the packet for our family visits! So exicited!

Anywho... can anybody tell me the next step? Like how has it been taking to actually get a date? I know the money has to be in his books. That's already been taken care of. Next is signatures or something right?

Help please!

Hello girls! So my husband was just told our family visit application has been approved and signed off! it's safe to say I'm beyond excited! Just wondering if anyone has gotten a date lately and how far they're booking out? I'm so anxious right now it's not even funny lol. I'm dying to know the date. I'm praying it doesn't take to long to hear from the FV coordinator! Any help would be so so so appreciated! Thanks!!!

I know some girl asked about 6 months ago and they said no. They do not work on weekdays. Family Visits are Fri-Sun or Mon-Fri.

Default FAMILY VISITS at CAL

My husband and I are new at CAL and I have questions about family visits.
1. What days are family visits run?
2. Is it package food or do they have a fresh food vendor?
3. Do we take our own blankets, sheets & pillow cases?
4. Do they have DVD players? and CD players?
Those are the main questions I have right now but I would appreciate ALL of any other information anyone can give me about the current family visiting program at CAL? Thanks

Well yes, you and your husband have to qualify and be approved for family visits. We already have family visits but every prison runs them differently so I'm trying to get info about the way its done at Calipat

I know that part and ok I didn't know you already have them. He is at Calipatria also but go to the website that you do special purchases from and they have a booklet to show what they have specifically for family visits

Lol. No. No curling iron. No flat iron. Nothing you need to plug in pretty much

Does anyone know how long it takes to get approved for family visits . My husband said his counselor told him he is eligible for family visits . He mentioned sending our marriage certificate. Am I supposed to send it to my husband or to his counselor? Thank u!

I never had these visits but, you would send a certified copy of your marriage certificate (the one with a raised seal on it) and it should go to the counselor.

Marriage certificate is mailed to his counselor. Hopefully the mailroom will remove the marriage certificate from the envelope addressed to your husband and forward it to the counselor assigned to him.

I believe to be eligible for FV, he must be off closed custody first. I'm not 100% sure but I believe most fellas are on for 5 + years. the FV regulations are currently being revised. That will change the dynamics of it. He'll have to ask his counselor to be absolutely sure he qualifies.

God bless you sorry for the delay.
