Default Interstate Compact from CA - transfer parole to MN

It is my understanding that when a parole transfer comes into MN from another state, that MN has the authority to add to the conditions of parole from another state at their discretion, up to and including all conditions of similar status parolees.

Has anyone experienced this in their own Interstate Compact coming into MN from another state? Can you provide some direction, as we are trying to determine if my sibling should just stay in CA, or try to transfer to MN to be nearer family. If they can add to parole instructions (limitations) we'll leave him in CA.

Any words of wisdom here?

They will have him conform to the conditions of supervision in the receiving state (most likely) or have things like anger management counseling or treatment added to his conditions in the receiving state, again, to model Minnesota's thoughts on dealing with your loved one as they deem appropriate to their circumstances.

I am a former PPO from another state who now lives in MN.

Thanks Jeff, probably will stay in CA for parole and then move back when complete.

Yup French that is the best thing. I know first hand about this I paroled to minneSNOWta a few years back and if I knew then what I know now about it ohhhhhhh hell no I wouldn't of. I too paroled here only because of my kids. I can guarantee that they will put him on ISR-INTENSIVE SUPERVISE RELEASE and let me tell you its TERRIBLE you have to report 4 times a week, a weekly schedule, urine once a week, breathalyzer EVERYTIME you see ur parole officer and pop visits at ALL hours of the night. Anyone that comes here will be on ISR. They give no inch and to be quite honest its not worth it in mn VERY prejudice ppl...
