Default How long to be on Ankle Monitor in Texas? Is there a curfew too?

Does anybody know anything about having to have a ankle monitor on? How long do they usually make an inmate keep one on and does curfew come along with this?I'm sure it varies per case, but any info will help. Thanks.

The 'how long' is a multi-pronged question. One first has to know whether they are being placed on GPS or the more general Special Condition T. The latter is often 60-90 days presuming gainful employment and ZERO violations of the schedule. Curfew/schedule violations will result in an extension of the Condition T placements...on SISP, they reset the one year one must go before consideration will be given to the removal of the monitor component.

And yes, schedules will be in place. Do not expect time to go screw around at the mall. They will need to justify any and all time out of the house. In the beginning, do not be surprised if the days he reports to the PO see no more than an extra 45 minutes to an hour to hit the grocery store on the way home.
