Be forewarned...new group of scammers from Dallas area
Recently have had letters from multiple clients inquiring about some new 'paralegal' service using a PO Box in Mansfield. They are dropping names in communications of some of the bigger name attorneys in Texas who have all confirmed they never heard of the outfit and damned sure were not using them even in a records-gathering capacity.
I am still doing some background on them, but their current address given on their website for an 'office' address is more than 50 miles from their PO Box. That physical address appears to be a rent-an-office, just as was the Arlington address that their phone number returned to in a search.
The spidey sense went up for a couple of clients when this outfit was talking about being able to secure a time cut for $10K. Aside from the fact that a paralegal is not going to be able to get a time cut, the reality is that they are basically damned near impossible to obtain even when you CAN get the necessary letters from trial officials.
Another red flag is that they have taken several steps to hide their identity, listing only their first names in their website. It is one thing to want anonymity on a website. It is quite another when you seek to hide who you are on a website in which you are actively soliciting paying customers.
This has the potential to be another Bob Johnson (actually Andrew Robert Coats) or Jeanne Richey type of situation. There are, unfortunately, people who will take advantage of those least able to afford it...
Do your due diligence before spending a dime on ANY one and then do it AGAIN when they begin making claims that just don't ring true with the reality of Texas jurisprudence...
