Whooooo Hooooooo! Thank you, Barb and PTO Admin!
I know I speak for the entire HDSP Club when I say we're thrilled to have this forum!

I have a Whateverheis on Bravo Yard at HDSP, serving LWOP+25 but we're very hopeful that the Appellate process will put this right and get him back where he belongs.
I currently live in Montana but was born and raised in California and get home every 3 or 4 months. Anything else anyone wants to know, feel free to ask!

Thanks again to PTO for a central spot for all of us tied to Susanville!

Yeah! We got the forum!!

My name is Laura and I live in Northern California. My fiance is an inmate at HDSP and is serving a 6 year, 8 month sentence. We hope he will be out in the summer of 2008 with half time. He is in D-gym.

I'm so happy to have our own forum!!

Default Yay!!!

Hello to all!!! I'm so glad that we got our forum. My fiance is at HDSP, B-yard. He has another 8 years to go before he gets home. I go to visit as often as I can (work and weather permitting). If any of you have questions feel free to ask. I have some info about the town of Susanville and I've done some research on the prison. I'm so excited about this site. Thanks PTO!!!

Hey, was your man's conviction a "strike" against him? If it was a strike then he will have to do 85%, but if it wasn't he will only have to do 50% (with good behavior of course). If you call his counselor at HDSP you can ask what his "earliest release" date is. My man got 6 years, 8 months (and with that he would be out in 2012), but his earliest release date is July 23, 2008. So if he does get out early he will be on parole for a few years.

Laura how do you get a hold of his counselor and what info do I need to have to actually ask the right questions?

Yeah I think it was a strike cause my fiance told me he had to do 85% of his time. His counsler will let me know that info about his earliest release date??? So, if they get out earlier they have to be on parole longer than usual?? It's okay cause I told my man when he comes home....he will be on "lockdown" in our house ....sorry my mind is in the gutter again!!!

Tepee and Ry*sgrl,
To get ahold of your man's counselor call the prison (1- (530) 251-5100) and select the option that asks if you would like to speak to the inmate's counselor. When you get through, just give them the inmate's CDC number and you will be transfered to your man's specific counselor (they will give you the extension so write it down). Then ask the counselor what the inmate's earliest release date is. When your man was transfered to HDSP he should have been given this information and he probably already knows the date. But anyway, the counselor will be able to answer most of your questions regarding the inmate.

And with the question about 85%....I think that when an inmate gets out (early), they are on parole until their original sentence is over. So if William gets out in 2008, he will be on parole until 2012. BUT I am not really sure, I will find out though!

P.S. The counselors only give info out to FAMILY... So make sure you are specific with who you are. Just have the CDC number on hand and where your man is located within the prison. William's counselor has been very helpful.

johns blossom, the whole "Cowboy" thing has always been something Jon and I have done. He finds it quite amusing that I listen to country music and he really doesn't care for it. I joke with him how if he's not careful I'll have him in a pair of Wrangler's when he gets home. But regardless of the joke he will forever be my Cowboy.

Hi Everybody, I'm so glad we have our own forum!! Just want to introduce myself. I have a bf on B yard in HDSP serving another 9 years. I live in Michigan so it's a long commute! I hope this lockdown is a rolling one (though those seem to last just a day and this one has already lasted longer!) and that it's not like last years which lasted for months! So Hi again!
