I would like to see how to maximize ingredients, while cooking for one.

Example: Sour cream.

The smallest size container one can buy is 8 ounces (and that is if I remember what store actually carries sour cream in that small size container - Fred Meyer) and no matter how I try and how many reciepes I use sour cream in........ I usually end up throwing out some seperated green goop of rotten sour cream. So, while I like sour cream, I find it to expensive to buy just to use it a couple of times and throw the rest away!!

Good idea! I will be on the lookout for recipes that maximize ingredients(while cooking for one). Sour cream is esp. hard to use up- it doesn't freeze well either as it separates.

I'd like to see recipes that show us how to use more herbs and spices, especially how to make the same ingredients taste differently thru the use of them!

I get kind of worried about how I'm going to eat after I have the baby.Mainly because know how pregnancy can be so tricky.Because I found myself with my other children still taking on the same eating habits after I had delivered.I lost weight but only because I ended up an addict.I just don't want to have to lose the weight depending on the street pharmacy.I need to be strong for myself and my entire family. But it's not easy.I just don't want to fail this time.

Default gluten free foods/recipes

my family is gluten free /wheat free/dairy free (to some degree)...I know how hard it is to find tasty foods and treats so if anyone is interested in gluten free recipes let me know...after Thanksgiving I'll try to post some the more successful recipes here.

Gluten Free Sausage Balls (can substitute ground turkey)
1 package gluten free bisquik (yep they make it gluten free now)
1 lb ground sausage or ground turkey (i prefer the really hot and spicy ones)
1 lb shredded cheese

this is your basic recipe..just switching it around a little. Add a dash of crushed red peppers and black pepper and some himalayan salt to taste...

mix well by hand and roll into balls (golf ball size) bake on 350 for 20 minutes and enjoy

tips to make de bole's gluten free mac & cheese better:
use a dash of almond milk ..just a dash...add the packet cheese, then add a quarter cup of favorite cheese...this helps the packet cheese ALOT...lol. the almond milk gives it an extra dash of flavor.

I voted quick and easy, but I've always wanted to become a vegetarian. I don't know how to make good vegetarian food though. Does anyone have any good dishes that I could try?
