Default Seeking Advice -CDL/Driving Truck

Im new to Prison Talk and joined to find some advice. I guess I feel a bit more comfortable asking here since I have a felony and with the type of felony it is, its not easy to search for resources or advice.
I am an RSO with my felony stemming in 2002. I was released in 2009 and have only had a few minor traffic stops since that time and unemployment has been a huge issue for me. I wish to drive trucks for a living by getting a CDL. If anyone has any information about this or any resources i would appreciate a point in the right direction.

Welcome to Prison Talk. I hope you get some guidance from folks who have experienced the same problems after release from prison.

My hubby (also rso) had his commercial license prior to going to prison.
It lapsed while he was inside and he had to start all over again to get it back.

He got it thru the California human development. (not a state run *school* tho)
There was no cost for the program. the caveat was you had to have been working the agriculture industry to qualify. Since hub was working in the vineyards after prison he did qualify.

He now drives a charter bus.
He stays local (most of the time) and rarely has overnights.
My windows aren't dirty

That's my dog's nose art
