Question Confused... TX-FL transfer????

Hey, my fiancee is from Texas and commited his offense in Texas. He's been doing time the past 7 years and was recently released to a halfway house in Texas. I live in southern Florida and earlier this year before his release we tried to get him relocated to a halfway house in Florida and the Florida denied him because we weren't married, basically... and because I'm the only person he has here.

Now that he's out and in a halfway house is it going to be easier to get him here? He talked to his counselor about it and the counselor said he'd make it happen. I just have these doubts because before it was a no... has anything similar happened with any of you? Thanks!

Aside from being released to a HWH, what else has changed in his status?

As an aside, I have had several clients through the years who have gone to Florida under Compact transfers. NONE have liked the manner in which the supervision was handled precisely because FL staff will make NO efforts to request removal of conditions that Texas would ordinarily submit to the Board after 60-90 days of compliance (ie. electronic monitoring, driving restrictions etc).
