Default Parole violation lapeer

My soon to be husband absconded from lapeer while on a tether. He cut it off and came to Kentucky where I'm at. He was taken my the US Marshall's. he was only out for three months. Now he has to be expedited back to Jackson and we have no idea what to expect. For the first time he wants to stay out and do right. I've read a lot of stuff on here before posting. So we are hoping for TRV. Any experience or tips would help. Thanks.

I'm not sure he will get TRV because he might be considered as a flight risk. If you don't mind me answering why didn't y'all do interstate compact? I've seen more weird things happen where they might just release him or he might get a flop.

I don't know what you mean by interstate. But I talked to his PO today and he said something about a 30 day program. I'm not sure what that means. But something about him being transferred out of RGC soon. I hope this info is solid. But I really need him to be paroled in Kentucky. We are getting married ASAP. I am confused as to what to expect from a 30 day program and the best way to go about a transfer. He may be put back on tether.

intrastate compact is a ok to move to a different state while on parole. he should have tried to get that. There might be a 30 day program...it's been a few years since my husband did anything to warrant a program(when he does it it's usually big...in for 18 months to 20 years this time). The two times he was in a program i think they were 77 days...give anything for that right now : (

I bet. I feel so isolated. I never want to do anything. This is my first time dealing with it. But it's like cold turkey NO communication. One minute phone call and one letter so far. I live in a state of panic and stress. The not knowing is killing me. I am sorry about your husband. When is his ERD?

he will see a parole revocation board in egeler this can take anywhere from 4-12 weeks to see the board have a decision and be transferred somewhere. if the PO recommended a program it was probably IDRP in ingham county. This is not enough time for an interstate compact to take place. I would discuss this with the po or else he will go to a half way house or something.

I'm gonna try to get ahold of his PO today. He usually always answers the phone. When I talked to him last he said he won't be in Jackson very long so I'm hoping that means he's going to be moved soon. Do they have the ability to use the phone in idrp? I read they can only have postcards. I have sent mail to Jackson and I know he started getting it cuz I got the one minute phone call. I started the phone account just waiting for him to get another chance to call. I'm just not sure if I should keep sending mail or not. If he gets moved will he get it? It will probably take forever just like everything with mdoc. Thanks for your help. His PO also said the parole people have only 45 days to decide what to do with him. In the one letter I got he said he already saw a parole agent and told them he wanted to parole with me. So I guess it's just a waiting game now. Any advice or suggestions would be awesome. Thanks again.

I'm sorry I am not much help on this because I never been thru this. The only thing I can say is to keep writing. If he gets moved, they will forward it. My son likes it when I write because it is something to look forward to.
Good luck to both of you.

Hi there, the only information I can give you is to not count on those 45 days. They normally get it done well within it, but it's not like if they don't they will just let him go.

My experience with absconding while on parole was no TRV, 1 year flop, even though everyone kept saying 30 days or 90 days. Especially since they had to go get him.

I hope that doesn't happen. Good luck, fingers crossed.
