They can put in the request, however the state they are asking to be paroled to has to be willing to accept them. Some states are reluctant to do this depending on there criminal history. It costs the states money to accept them for Probation and such if they have a history of not paying there fees and such.

This is something he should talk to his case manager about. Which facility is he in? How long has he been there? when is he scheduled to see the board?

yes I found what I was looking for but know I have more questions so I am looking for the web site to reveiw their policeies and such. I have LUpus and I want to see the rate of heptitus c in the facility. I believe it is airborn transmitable and I just asked rob for application for visits. I just hate to even fight off a cold much less anything else you know. who would I need to contact in my state to begg and plead for transfer of parole to this state? do you know?

I just cant believe that I may get my family back I just wish that it would not have taken drugs to do it. he is such a gentle sweet man. I can't help but feel that in a way it is my fault.

Default Parole to a different state

Hi,

Shortly after my brother was incarcerated for assault and burglary, I called my local county seat to see if he could be paroled to MN. They told me that as long as there was no drugs or alcohol convictions involved in the sentence, that it should be no problem having him moved from ND to MN.

If you haven't already done it, I would suggest calling the county where you want him/her paroled to and asking their requirements. I got the impression that if I pushed it a little, they would grant my request.......
