Serina,
It is not easy getting someone transferred, especially if they are located in a private run facility (my son is in Basile Detention Center-private facility run by Correction Systems Inc). The inmate needs to request a transfer from the warden; all facilities have their own procedures for this. The warden then grants, denies, or just doesn't answer the request. There are some special circumstances where someone may be transferred, however, all transfers are basically at the warden's discretion.
We've been trying since May 2005 to get our son moved closer (he's abpput 200 miles away). With all of the problems arising from the hurricane, it probably isn't likely to happen in the near future because of the over-crowding at all facilities. Take care.

Can anyone tell me where I would find a court date?

Dad sentencing was scheduled for Oct 14 but it has been moved again ( 3 time) an I can't get his lawyer to give me the new date?
Where can I find this at?
Thanks all
