James 1: 2-4 We talked about Faith and Endurance: Give everything in the Lord a chance to grow and you will be given the opportunity of a life of joy.

James 1: 12-27 For those who have gone through the difficult roads in life, they will be rewarded by Christ. The Lord NEVER tempts us, and he NEVER tempts others. The Lord gives us his true word and made us his children, and we became his choice to possess.

We must listen before we speak, and control our anger. We have to accept the Lord's message God wants for our hearts alone. We must obey the message, not just listen. We must care for others and not allow our tongue to control us. There is enough evil desires that corrupt our world.

Thank you Lord for hearing my prayers, and protecting me from another day of temptation.

Glory To Jesus Christ. I Learned So Much From Bible Study Today. Jesus Was Definitely In That Place. Most Of All I Learned To Put God First. He Was There Before My Job, My House, My Car, Etc. He Is The Reason Why I Am Even Alive. So He Is To Be Number One, Not Number Two, No Matter What The Circumstances. Forgive Me Jesus For Putting You Second At Times. I Repent Father. You Will Be Number One In My Life From This Day On. In Jesus Name Amen

Thumbs up Biblestudy Summary for 9/24/04

We wrapped up a powerful week on Temptation with Romans 7:19 & 1Corinthians 10:13.

Romans 7:19
For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing.

1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

We learned that we want to do right; but there are times that we give into temptation and sin. All of us experience temptation. We learned satan's attack method.
1. Identifies a desire to attack
2. Creates doubt
3. Use deception and lies
4. Leads us to disobedience

Satan is the master of deception. When we give into temptation, we have sinned. We may begin to believe that we can not be forgiven, and that no one will love us. We become more isolated with guilt. Satan can not make us do anything; but creates temptation through suggestions.

But just as God forgives us our sins, we must still be vigilant and watchful to resist temptation for we know not the hour or may not have an opporunity to ask for forgiveness.

In 1 Corinthians 10:13, we learned that God knows our capabilies and our limitations. And because Gid is faithful, He will not allow us to have tempation where there is not way out. We always have a choice.

We concluded the study with a refresher of the weeks lessons.
Monday: Matthew4:11 & Matthew 6:5-15
Tuesday: Matthew 26:40-42 & Mark 1:8-10
Wednesday: Mark 14:27-39 & Luke 4:1-2
Thursday: James 1:2-4, 12 & 13-27

And we are preparing the next few weeks to get ready for battle. Join us on Monday as we kick off the study Spiritual Warfare--Putting On the Whole Armor.

Default Bible Study 9/28/04 8:30pm

Tonight the Lord brought so many of us together. It truly was a wonderful Study. We spoke of the Holy Spirit from the following scriptures:

Revelations 21 - When we enter the Kingdom of Heaven there will be no more sorrow, no more pain, and no more suffering from death. All of the evil desires of the world are gone once we enter His Kingdom. But, for the one's who turn away, that worship false idols, and continue to be sinners and not repent they will not enter such a place. Never will they know the rewards that lay in the Heavens above. The life without evil, the world of everlasting love and protection.

Jude 1: 17-23 We must continue to build our lives on faith. Satan will continue to test us by placing individuals in our path to corrupt us, bring us down in the hopes of choosing him over our Lord. We must continue our lives and pray for the ones that do not want to believe, or listen to God's word. Beware though of getting caught up in their evil desires (sins). Through God's Love we all will receive blessings, but only in God's time.

I hope that everyone can join us again tomorrow night at 8:30EST. Have a blessed evening and remember that prayer works..

Default Spiritual Warfare: The Armor of God --Bible Study 9-29-04@1230

Scriptures: Ephesians 6:11-18; 2 Corinthians 10:4-5

The purpose of the armor of God helps you stand up against the strageties of the devil. Satan attacks you in your mind. It's not flesh and blood that we are fighting. The devil will do everything he can to get you to stop using or getting understanding of your authority. There will be tests and he will oppose you with may temptations. He's after your knowledge about the Word of God. He wants you to give up and believe it doesnt work. We may fail but God's Word never fails. The armor of God will protect you and it symbolizes spiritual truths. Here are the 6 pieces of armor:

1. Girdle of Truth- This a clear understanding of God's Word. It holds the rest of the armor in place just like a soldiers belt. We must have a clear understanding of what the Word says. We cant read the Bible in the flesh and treat it like a magic book. THe Bible is the instruction book for life. God knows everything about life and He gives directions on how to be successful and wise in life. Its the truth and we need to understand it. It will build you up. It will build your confidence. When you have confidence in the Word of God nothing can stop you. Power comes from confidence.

2. Breastplate of Righteousness- Jesus is our righteousness. We put Him on first. It covers our heart. Without it, you will fail when satan comes because you don't know your righteousness. We must know that we have a right to be forgiven because of what Jesus did for us. We have a blood bought right to all of God's promises. Remember what Jesus did for you. He died so we can have it. We are the righteousness of God. Its also our obedience to the Word. We have to be hearers and doers of the word. It will protect you from being in the dark.

3. Feet shod preparation of the gospel of peace- This is a faithful ministry proclaiming the Word of God. It's being part of a church that is word based. There are many churces out here that do not teach the word. There are many false teachers who are wolves in sheeps wool. They will mess up your life. It's very important to make sure you are under a good teacher or pastor. Just because a person teaches doesnt guarantee they are teaching you the right way. You can tell if a church is right by the fruit it bears. Be prayerful and ask the Lord to lead you to a good church home. Never go anywhere without first praying. It will keep you from being barefoot in a snakepit!

4. Shield of Faith- This is covering for the entire body. It's our complete safety under the blood of Jesus where no power of the enemy can penetrate. Faith in the Blood of Jesus becomes our shield. There is power in His blood. It purifies and washes. When the enemy attacks, we are to testify of the blood of Jesus Christ. It's our shield.

5. Helmet of Salvation- It's the hope of salvation that protects the head. It's getting the word in your head. These days are filled with seduction to get us to think with how the world thinks instead of the way of the Word. It's getting the truth in your head and keeping it.

6. Sword of the Spirit- This is the Word of God. It's to be used as an offensive weapon. It's how you take it to him(the devil). It will tackle every suggestion satan brings to you.
Pressed in the Armor of God, you are prepared to withstand every attack of the enemy. You have to understand how our adversary operates. If you are not equipped, you will fail.

The battle ground is in your mind. Ask yourself what things have been said to you and catch those thougts and cast them down. Doing this lets the enemy know we know his strategy. When he talks to us, we have to talk back to him. We need to bring those thoughts and words into captivity and make it obey the Word of God. Don't you dare just sit there all day and let the devil say something to you without opening your mouth. You need to speak up and say what the truth is. You dont fight back with thoughts. You fight back with words. He wins by bombarding your mind with junk and you dont say something back. Everytime you hear something that goes against the Word, you retaliate right back with the Word of God. Satan will try to take advantage of you and rob you of your life. He wants us to die spiritually. If he can seperate you from God while you are in your body, then he can have you entirely. Thats why we have to let him know we will do exactly what the Word says. We have to stand on the Word no matter what!!! We have to remain undefeated by taking advantage of the spiritual armor. The enemy cannot hold in bondage a believer who knows his authority in Jesus!! We have to stand. Even if it means to sweat blood like Jesus did in the garden, then so be it!

Glory Be To God!! I Learned So Much. God Was Definetely In That Place On This Day. And Where The Spirit Of The Lord Is, There Is Liberty. We As Christians Are Definetely In A Battle, It's Either Get Right Or Get Left. I Choose To Get Right. We Could Imagine How Silly A Soldier Would Look In A Battle With No Weapons. Only A Pair Of Boxer Shorts. Haha. That Would Look Crazy, No Pants, No Shoes, No Shirt, No Gun, No Grenade, Just Some Boxer Shorts. Its The Same In The Spirit Realm With Us As Christians. We Must Have This Armor.

Default Biblestudy Summary fro 9/30/04

We continued on Spiritual Warfare---Putting on the Whole Armor.

We read 1 Samuel 17:31-39

31 What David said was overheard and reported to Saul, and Saul sent for him.
32 David said to Saul, "Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him."
33 Saul replied, "You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a boy, and he has been a fighting man from his youth."
34 But David said to Saul, "Your servant has been keeping his father's sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, 35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. 36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. 37 The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine."
Saul said to David, "Go, and the LORD be with you."
38 Then Saul dressed David in his own tunic. He put a coat of armor on him and a bronze helmet on his head. 39 David fastened on his sword over the tunic and tried walking around, because he was not used to them.
"I cannot go in these," he said to Saul, "because I am not used to them." So he took them off.

And Phillipians 1:9-10
9And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, 10so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless until the day of Christ,

Our lesson today was on developing our personal relationship with God, so that we are able to discern and understand the enemies attacks when they begin. In 1 Samuel, David is preparing to fight Goliath. Saul dresses David in a helmet and his suit of armor. David removed the armor because it is not correctly fitted or proven for him in previous battles. As we learned in yesterday putting on the whole armor of God, we discussed preparing for our own battles.

- God has a personal plan for each and everyone of us
- We need to spend time in reading God's word and praying so that we develop an understanding of God's plan for our lives
- We have to live our own relationship with God, not someone else's

This week, we have learned who the enemy is (satan) , what he does (temptation), where he will attack (minds), and how to prepare (using the tools or prayer, controlling ourselves, learning the truth, accepting Jesus, spreading the gospel, increasing our faith, learning God's word), when his opportune times are (when we are weak).

Join the biblestudy each day at 12:30, as we continue to prepare for our Victory in Christ!

Default Talking and Hearing God-Bible Study Summary 10/5/04 12pm est

Our Study today was taken from http://newchristian.gospelcom.net/Pa...tartupfrm.html
I encourage you to check out this website and go over the study either by yourself or a friend. This is very important for all to hear. There are several questions that you can answer for yourself. The answer to general questions are in purple. May God bless you All!!

Talking With God
INTRODUCTION
God’s plan is for your new life as a Christian to flow from God - yes, God Himself - living inside of you! Read John 2:25-3:8

Part 1. God gives you His life after you receive His Son Jesus!

Read John 6:56.
• Jesus gives life to your spirit, so He compares Himself to food and drink that gives life to your body. But you have to do something first!
• What do you have to do before food and drink can give life to your body? Take it into your spirit

What did you do so that Jesus can give life to your spirit? Took him into my spirit

• The result, in Jesus’ words, is: He is in me and I am in him
• You and Jesus can be “in” each other by His Spirit being in you. Read John 14:17.
Remember: God is now your loving Heavenly Father and you are His precious child. God may or may not be much like your earthly father. Don’t jump to conclusions - let God show you the kind of Father He is.
His own Spirit is living in you, so you are always in direct personal contact with God. Being close to God this way calls for continuing conversation with Him as friend with Friend.

Part 2. God wants to talk with you!
Jesus says you have been “born again”, because there is new life in you from God’s Spirit living in you. That makes you a spiritual newborn baby, who needs to get to know God, your new all-loving Heavenly Father.
Every relationships begins with talking. You were “born again” as a result of talking with God. Here is how it worked. You heard about Jesus from the Bible and began to know that what you heard was true. That was God telling you in your heart. Then you talked to God and asked Him to forgive you and be your Ruler and Friend. The result: your spiritual birth on (date)
You get to know someone by being with them and talking with them. God is always with you, and He wants you to hear Him talk to you, and wants you to talk to Him.
• Read in Romans Chapter 8, verses 15-16. This passage says, "For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by Him we cry 'Abba, Father.' The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children."

• God's Spirit is talking to you. What is He saying to you? You are my child

• Have you felt Him say this to you in your heart?
Yes No Not sure
What does He want you to say back to Him?
I am your child

• What do you think God feels toward you as His child, from what you have read in the Bible?

• How do you feel toward God, now that you are His child?

Part 3.God created you with the ability to talk with Him.

You may be wondering how in this world you can actually talk with God, when God hardly ever talks out loud, and you can’t see Him or touch Him.
The first step in learning conversation with God is to set aside for each day a regular time and place to be alone and quiet with God. Start with giving Him your undivided attention for 15-20 minutes. This is a time to talk to God and listen to Him talk to you, as Jesus said in Matthew 6:6. Where and what time each day can you do this?
Time Where

In a conversation, the more important person usually talks first. It is important to listen to God before you do a lot of talking. The best way to start listening is by reading and studying God’s open letter to us all, the Bible. (Other ways you can increase your understanding of God’s written Word is to discuss what you are studying with other Christians, and to hear teaching on the Bible.)
During your daily times to talk with God, do as follows:

• Ask God to help you receive His message to you through what you read. What does Jesus promise you in John 14:26?
His Spirit will teach me all things and bring to my memory all that Jesus said to me.

• After listening to God speak to you through His written Word, it is time for you to talk to Him.

• In your own words, talk to God (out loud or silently) about the things you learned from the lessons.

Give praise to God for the things about Him you read, and also for what He has done for you and for the ways He is helping you each day.
• Talk to God about whatever comes to your mind. Be sure to thank Him for coming to live inside of you and for bringing you new (eternal) life! Tell God how wonderful it is for you to be forgiven and to now belong to Him, through having Jesus be your Friend and Leader!
• Also ask Him to help you with the problems you are struggling with. You can also ask Him to help other people with their problems, no matter what those problems are.
• Remember that God created the whole universe, so He has enough power to do anything. He often heals sickness and injuries, so don’t hesitate to ask Him to do things that are impossible for man to do. With God, nothing is impossible!

Remember: Have your time of personal conversation with God each day, in addition to doing the Bible Studies
Part 4. Time with other people.
It is very important to make time to meet regularly with a Christian friend, who will help explain things and pray for you every day. Also, attend the regular church meetings he/she encourages you to attend. Remember, a log needs other logs to burn well, so get together regularly with other Christians!

Tell the people you usually see from day to day about how Jesus is making a big and wonderful change in your life. Don’t argue or try to answer every question. Just tell them what has happened to you. They can’t argue with that! These lessons can help you explain.

I Learned So Much Today In Our Study. Most Importantly, How Vital It Is For Us To Be Saved And Born Again. For He Said In His Word, "except A Man Be Born Of The Water And Of The Spirit, He Shall In No Wise Enter Into The Kingdom Of God". John 3. We Become His Children By Being Born Again Because We Receive His Spirit. "if Any Man Have Not The Spirit Of God, He Is None Of His" Romans 8. I Thank And Praise God For Saving Me And Filling Me With The Holy Ghost Because One Day We Will Stand Before God-a Righteous Judge, And We Will Give In Account Of All The Things We've Done, Whether Good Or Bad...and What Will Tell Us Whether We'll Be In Smoking Or Non-smoking Is Whether Or Not We Have His Son Jesus Inside Of Our Hearts. It's Non-smoking For This Gal.....

  • FAITH COMES WHEN YOU RECOGNIZE THAT YOU CAN’T HELP YOURSELF
  • WE MUST HAVE THE GIFT OF DISCERNMENT TO RECOGNIZE THOSE WHO ARE OUT TO HARM US.
  • DECEPTION IS EMOTIONAL RAPE & IS JUST AS BAD AS PHYSICAL RAPE
  • LOVE EMBRACES THE TOTALITY OF THE OTHER PERSON. WE WILL NEVER KNOW WHO A PERSON IS UNTIL WE UNDERSTAND WHERE THEY HAVE BEEN

  • WE CANNOT DISCERN WHAT/WHO IS PLUGGING INTO US IF WE ARE NOT IN EFFECTIVE SPIRITUAL WARFARE
  • EVERYTHING WE BRING FORTH COMES THROUGH PAIN
  • ANY TIME WE HAVE SORROW IT IS A SIGN THAT GOD IS TRYING TO GET SOMETHNG THROUGH US AND TO US.

Default Bible study Summary for 10/25/04

We are still working on healing for our mind, body, and souls. Today we discussed chapter 9 of Woman Thou Art Loosed!- A Table for Two

Genesis 2
21 So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs [1] and closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib [2] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

-The first female mentioned in the Bible was mature, and had no childhood and is an example to define her relationship to her husband. (marriage)

Ephesians 5
29After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church-- 30for we are members of his body. 31"For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."[1] 32This is a profound mystery--but I am talking about Christ and the church.

-finding a person that you are compatiable with; there is bonding that consummates marriage (has nothing to do with sex)
1. pray and discern if this is your mate
2. when you marry you must cleave (to impige, cling or adhere to) your spouse
3. cleaving means leaving------
Mark 10:7'For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife,
- your spouse shouldn't have to meet the approval of all your family and friends

Marriage requires faith
Romans 1
17For in the gospel a righteousness from God is revealed, a righteousness that is by faith from first to last,[1] just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."

-Need to believe God for yor marriage
-God has a way in which we are act as wives
1 Peter 3:1-2
1Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives, 2when they see the purity and reverence of your lives.
- create an atmosphere where our conduct is not undermining our prayers
- learn methods of communication for both the wife and husband-GET UNDERSTANDING
- arguing is normal ("No one argues over what they would rather leave."

Move in faith in your marriage
Romans 4
17As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations."[1] He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed--the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.

- Do for your spouse in faith
- All the things you were going to do when he changes--do them now in faith

Take it off--take it all off!
-it is important that husbands be able to take it off (and find rest at home)
4 points of the confessions from Genesis 3:9-10
Genesis 3
9 But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"
10 He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid."
1. I heard Thy voice
2. I was afraid
3. I was naked
4. I hid myself
confrontation can bring about fear, or expose (make naked), and then the tendency to hide
-Marriages need to be transparent (fear will not heal, it only hides)

Men created in the likeness of God (respond to praise)
-praise will make a weary man perform
-when you marry someone, you marry everything he is (strenthg, weaknesses, fears)

Your marriage is a ministry
1 Corinthians 7
3The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. 4The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. 5Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

-decorate your relationship
-God has ascribed honor to marriage
-make each other MATTER

You may have a marriage to be envied or developed. Whichever the case, make it matter---make it a TABLE FOR TWO!

Join us tomorrow at 12:30 est as we discuss Chapter 10-Daughter of Abraham. We encourage you to become a chosen vessel.
