Default We Need Everyone's Help!!

miller.leslie.web@flsenate.gov

I have posted a link to Senator Leslie Miller. As most of you are aware, Senator Miller is the person that presented senate bill 0618 to reinstitute the 65% on prison time served for the state of Florida. The bill died in committee and the only way we can get it back on the floor is to have a representative put it out there again. Several of us have already emailed him to ask his assistance one more time. Maybe if enough of us write him he will handle it one more time. Thanks for your help.

Wow, well I really don't understand why because I've heard from several others and mine went through as well. But I will check it out and let you know.

Hello everybody! What I wrote to Mr. Miller went something like this:

I would like to first of all thank you for your attempt this past session in trying to bring the sentencing guidelines in Florida back to 65% for non-violent offenders. I understand it died in committee and cannot be considered again until a representative re-introduces it next session. As a family member of one of the non-violent incarcerated, I would ask that you please consider doing this one more time. Thank you for your help. Sincerely, -----------

Short and sweet! He gets the point. Once again, here's the link
miller.lesley.web@flsenate.gov

Thanks everyone! Beta

I propose everyone (in florida or a state that does not support the 65% law) write into the sentor every week to keep it on their minds and make something happen! For FL its sen. Miller

They don't want to help the inmates nor the families who love and worry about them, as far as they are concerned, we don't count, and never will. I will also write to him, I pray we pester him enough to do something.

I have been sending email out twice a week, since july. my man gets out in 2005. It would be nice for him to come home early, but I do have a question, I was told since the bill didnt pass, we have to wait until next october for anything to happen, Is this true, or is there a chance for something to happen earlier? Do we really have to wait another year before we can at least hope for early release again?
