All visitors 18 years of age and older will be required to present some form of ID (such as drivers license, social security card, birth certificate, etc.) to the Main Control officer in order to be admitting to the visiting room. General visiting information:

All visitors must be on the approved visiting list. It is recommended that you arrive as early in the day as possible so that proper arrangements can be made in time for your visit. It may take time to locate an individual inmate for a visit, so please be patient.

Have proper identification with you, preferably a driver's license or other photo ID. You will not be permitted to visit without proper identification.

Please be sure to sign in upon your arrival and sign out before you leave. If you travel by private vehicle, you will be asked to register the year, make, model and license number.

ALL visitors are subject to search upon entering the institution, while at the institution and before leaving the institution. If you refuse to be searched before entering the institution, your visiting privileges may be denied. If you refuse to be searched while in the institution or upon leaving the institution, you may be detained until the appropriate law enforcement authorities arrive.

Cameras, tape recorders, radios and handbags are not permitted in the visiting area.

Visits are a minimum of one hour in length; however, this may be increased depending upon the number of visits scheduled for the day.

Inmates placed in disciplinary custody will have their visiting privileges restricted.

Please use good judgment and discretion in dress and behavior so as not to embarrass others in the visiting area. Keep children under control. Failure to do so may result in early termination of your visit.

Ex-offenders must have prior approval from the superintendent to visit any inmate.

Do not bring any kind of gift to the institution. Funds that are intended for placement in inmate?s account will only be accepted via the mail in the form of a money order or certified check.

Inmate visitors are not permitted to bring any items into the institution other than the following exceptions: change purse or wallet, baby bottles (two plastic only), baby diapers (2), NITO (heart medicine), canes (medical), religious headwear, car keys/locker key, inhaler (asthma-type) and wheelchair.

Any visitor appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance will not be permitted to enter the institution.

Special/Extended visits may be authorized for any individual on the inmate's approved visiting list with proper justification (e.g., distance of travel, health of inmate, family emergency). The Superintendent, Deputy Superintendents, Unit Managers or Shift Commanders may only approve Special/Extended visits. These visits may occur only between the hours of 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on weekends and holidays. There will be no special or extended visits in the evening hours.
